Simply Fun!

It's become my go to game. The simple turn by turn nature of the game, along with the portrait presentation, allows me to play it anywhere. Would really like to see some type of upgrade progression from game to game, but still highly fun, challenging and addictive. It's like Zelda Chess!
Roguelike-ish

Simple little time waster, but the biggest draw for most roguelikes is the ability to bring something with you when you die. Since it's a full wipe each time you die, you're just essentially playing checkers against a bot over and over.
Not enough content for price

Once you've played it a few times and got the hang of it, you've already played it all. Almost feels like a beta test, I'm surprised more don't have this complaint. Fun core concept, though. Not worth $3.00 in any world.

I like the game as is. It's very fun. Those into strategy and tactical games will enjoy this one. I did not give it five stars because of some issues I encountered playing the game. If you exit the app, it does not save your progress. It also does not save your settings (music: off, for example). As soon as these issues are fixed, I'm willing to give it five stars!
Good ideas - issues in execution

The game succeeds in being an easy to pick up quick rogue like game. Ignore people criticizing the lack of a wait button / this is an important element of the strategy. Overall pretty fun. However this game has glitches and is a little rough around the edges considering the price. Randomly you will not be able to cast certain abilities, no matter how many times you try, only to have the ability work the next turn. Also the app WILL NOT remember sound settings like turning off music or fx after a day of normal phone usage. Needs a better high score display as well

I bought this thinking it was a roguelike, but it's more of a puzzle game. A pretty sub par puzzle game at that, you often run into levels with no winning solution.

I'm finding myself addicted to this simple rogue-like. I love that there is no ads or in-app purchases! I have tried a few rogue likes on the App Store and almost *all* of them are unplayable. (Except for pixel dungeon!) good UI and no complications. I'd like there to be more depth and mechanics like an old-school rogue-like, but I guess that is another game... Simple fun. The dev got a lot right here. Recommended!!
