Talking Tails brings to you an animated and educational variation of Tic-Tac-Toe for articulation practice. The game is geared toward school-aged children with speech difficulties or typically-developing children for practice in saying their sounds. Words are presented with an optional and included prerecorded voice before articulation practice.

We have been busy working on fixes for the errors some of you are receiving. Our newest update has been submitted to the App Store, and should be ready to download by the end of January, 2011. This update will fix all previous memory related problems and allow the apps to operate without the crashes some of you have experienced. What a waste!

This app is a total waste of money. First of all, the app has never loaded. Second, from what I can tell, you have to purchase every phoneme. I'm not sure of the cost b/c it has never made it past the first screen. Terrible company.

The description states that the /l/ word list is provided "free with your purchase". Whatever that means! You pay $2.99 for a few /l/ words to play the game. Even though the screenshots show "ch" words--those are not included. You have to pay extra for additional phonemes to use with this program! They are not cheap! $6.99 just to get a list of /k/ words? $21.99 to get /d, t, k, g/. SAVE YOUR MONEY! This is a rip-off. The same goes for the other speech programs by this company--speech squares, say it again, etc. I wish I never spent my money on these.

Great Concept Just Needs Some Tweaking

Great way to work on articulation skills with older students. Phoneme lists are a litte expensive but I do like how they transfer into your other apps by this company without a charge. Black screen with the word on it stays on a little long. With less time waiting a student could get more practice time in.
