SimpleLife

John Conway’s Game of Life is a well-known cellular automaton. In Life, “cells” live on a two-dimensional grid and survive, reproduce, and die based on four simple rules:
Category Price Seller Device
Education Free Parallel 42 Systems, Inc. iPhone, iPad, iPod

Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies.
Any live cell with more than three live neighbours dies.
Any live cell with two or three live neighbours lives on.
Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbours becomes a live cell.

Thanks so much for making a simple, free "Life". I was trying to explain the concept to my wife, and booting this up and showing her made it real simple. Would be nice to add a splash screen to explain the concept, but that info is readily available on Wikipedia, which also explains the "gun" you see when you boot it up. Thanks for sharing!!

No ads! Easily cleared! Saveable! I need say no more; this is glorious.

Pretty Good, but

I was satisfied however there is room for improvement that would make this perfect. Retina display support, multiple save states, drag feature (right now you have to individual click each tile)

Boring

The game didn't have the bigger map like the real one.

One huge problem...

For the most part this is a great life game. The grid is in a loop on itself, meaning that you can't use conventional infinite patterns. This greatly limits gameplay...

Read about this in Stephen hawking's book "the grand design"

Just a good implementation of life

Nothing more, nothing less, doesn't deserve poor star ratings at all.
