App Needs Multiple Choice Questions Feature

Hailari0us

This app would be Amazon if it included ability to do MBE questions in the app instead of using the mobile web browser.

Warning: Cannot Manually Delete Videos

Kilgore Szilard

I kind of thought folks were exaggerating how bad this app was. And to be fair, it’s far better than nothing. It’s the only way to download videos and take them to places with no internet (important for minimizing distractions for me). I don’t really mind that it doesn’t have directed study, cause I just use it for lectures. BUT it was one of the strangest flaws I’ve ever seen in a media player: there is no way to delete videos once you’ve downloaded them except by watching them at least 40% through. So if you watch the video on the web or another device, the only way to delete the video is to *rewatch* it on the device you’ve downloaded it on. Fast forwarding to the end doesn’t work either, 40% of the video (or more based on your settings) has to actually play. I assumed I was missing something but tech support confirmed this. I really don’t think people should have super high expectations for an app like this but a delete button seems like a pretty rock bottom minimum for a media player.

Missing functions and malfunctions

The app really is that bad. I can’t scroll passed secured transactions on the quiz so I cannot quiz myself on any of the subjects after it (which happens to be the majority of subjects). The quiz section’s subjects seemingly are in no logical order - not alphabetical, at least. The videos work okay. You cannot view your progress or see your schedule for the day which would be useful.

Needs to allow viewing at a sped up rate

freddy@vons

It’s nice to have an option when I don’t have good enough WiFi to stream, but it is ridiculous that I can’t choose to watch it at a sped up rate like I can online. This would be super easy and cheap to integrate and should be done so it is actually a practical (and not absolute last resort) solution.

Lacks most of the main features of desktop version

Patrickm624

The app is fine but only has access to the lectures and some of the assessments. Not really useable for serious study.

Glitchy. Should add MBEs

Steban79

Downloads are glitchy. If you select download all, it should prioritize by order so the user can get started viewing earlier. Sometimes there are glitches where a certain file will not download (seems like a linking issue, you select one file, and another file that is already downloaded re-downloads instead of the selected one. Also, when I play by sending to Apple TV, sometimes it not only fails to play but also the file needs to be re-downloaded. Finally, it would be really awesome if I could access practice MBE questions from the app.

Would be wonderful if the app weren’t so buggy

Michee agg

Unfortunately, the app is full of issues. For example, it refuses to download certain videos because of a “lack of valid internet connection,” but then will download others with no issue.

Themis is fine, the app is not

ximacloudx

The app has been nothing but buggy every time I’ve tried to use it. While the app gives you access to the videos, it doesn’t give you access to the outlines (arguably what would be most useful on an iOS Device), the worksheets, or any flashcards you would build within themis. If I could redesign the app, it would include the following: - a way to have the lecturer in the top corner of the screen while writing with an apple pencil on the lecture handouts. I own an iPad so I don’t have to carry 100lbs of books around. It makes no sense to have no access to the lecture handouts. - a reader for the outlines, with the ability to highlight a section and send a question straight to one of the themis reps. Again, I can read them in the Safari or Chrome, why would I not be able to access them in the app? - Access to build flashcards and review them within the app - The ability to speed up lecturers from 1.0 speed

Easily one of the worst apps I’ve ever used

J.Dubb23

....And mind-boggling considering the amount of money they receive to provide a competent digital platform on the go. This app has SO much potential, I just personally cannot vouch for it.

Doesn’t work

whatever6481

App says there isn’t a valid connection. That is incorrect. Nothing is working. Amazing that with all the $$ this program costs, they can’t make an app work properly. And this doesn’t even take into account how basic the features are even when they do work. Videos should be playable at more than 1x speed. MBE practice questions and outlines should be available on the app.
