I had read research articles about how the Wonder Weeks does not have a basis in science, but still downloaded it at the urging of my new moms class teacher. The app is garbage. The predictions are terrible and don’t make any sense for my baby. It’s just as inaccurate as I had read. I wish I could get my money back.

There are glowing reviews for this app, but it does not make sense to me at all. I’ve tried switching it from due date to my daughter’s actual dob but it still has things that don’t make sense. For example. It said my daughter starts next leap in 8 days, but in another area says leap 5 does not take place until around 26 weeks/6 months. My daughter is not six months for another 4 weeks/month! How does this make sense? When I tried via her actual due date, it said she was in leap 4, but in the paragraphs below, said “_(daughter’s name)_ does not start leap 4 until..” I’m so frustrated. No one can explain to me how this app works.

The app is full of helpful information but was not useful for me as far as anticipating leaps or lulls. I could not go off of the dates suggested at all. All of the information can be found online by simply searching. Everyone’s baby is different!

This all is complete nonsense and the author and leap concept has been discredited. This app is just trying to get desperate mothers to make more purchases. The language is vague enough that any mother can identify with bits and pieces and believe what they are being told. Mothers of infants are desperate for answers and being told that some of the crying is out of their control is just giving them what they want to hear. Sorry moms, leaps aren’t a real thing.
not tge app from the ad
I didn’t know about this app until my first was around 6 months old. It is totally worth the $$. It is SPOT on. Like for instance my daughter is currently 7 weeks. She’s not currently going through a leap but estimated by her due date they say she may be going through a “stormy” or tough time for the next few days and that’s exactly what has been happening. Sleepless nights. There is mounds on information on this app. It’s absolutely incredible. MUST HAVE

The app is great, very helpful even with my third baby. But the additional features at $2.99/month are not worth it and should just be included in the app itself. Unless you’re going to use the monitor feature, which seems cool if you haven’t actually bought a baby monitor, the other extras are marginal added value. The white noise was alluring but not functionally useful because they run for only a few minutes and then stop. Even if you click the “continual sound” option, it pauses briefly every few minutes and then restarts- which wakes both me and the baby due to the absence of what should be helpful white noise!! It’s nice to have the audio book in the extras, but I chose the app over the book for a reason and could get it from the library for free or from Audible for less than $2.99/month.

This app is garbage. The information that is provided is readily available for free, the app has difficulty determining what “leap” you are even supposed to be in. Also after downloading I found out there is no scientific basis for this information and the author of the wonder weeks book has even been discredited. This is a poorly designed app that is at best horoscopes for babies.

I followed directions and entered my sons due date not his DOB. It says his next leap not for 7 days, but then gives a great deal of information. Can’t tell if they’re talking about previous leap or upcoming! I looked at the calendar and can see little icons but can’t click to see info about each leap. I thought app would be easier to follow than website but am extremely disappointed that i paid for this. Overall this app is very confusing and I’m not a fan!

I don’t know why, but this app doesn’t match up to my baby at all. The “leaps” aren’t even close, the “signs” of a leap are the same as teething or any other things a baby goes through. It goes from the due date so maybe there is something there, but I wouldnt waste my time. I wanted this to be helpful, because it came highly recommended, but it’s a total waste of time. Don’t bother
