Waste of time. Buying an Apple TV. Nothing more reliable is available. Private listening is also a joke.

Phone is on same WiFi as Roku, but the app never finds it. I can manually supply the IP address to connect, however the app won’t transmit characters typed on the iPhone to a search field on the Roku. Other things don’t work either. The only thing that does work is selecting a channel from the phone and controls identical to those on the Roku supplied remote.

Many times using this app it will work randomly only sometimes. It used to work really well. Usually it will not be able to find my Roku or it finds it and looses it again rather quickly. I have Roku from 2013, not sure if this is the reason.
Needs overhaul. Just saying.

I really loved this app at first, but every time I use it now (after only a couple weeks) it will turn my tv on and I will choose an app and in the middle of opening the app my phone remote will say “Tv may be on eco mode” and give me the choice to “start” the tv (even though it’s obviously already on) or cancel. So I hit start. And even though my tv was in the middle of opening an app it will go to a red Roku screen and then a black screen and jump back and forth until I can finally choose the app again. Then we start over and it gives me the pop up wanting me to start or cancel again. Tried to call support and got someone who I couldn’t even understand who’s probably sitting in India right now. So frustrating.

Works just like the actual remote! So convenient for when i have sat down and got comfy only yo realize the remote is sitting in the tv stand across the room. Being able to change the tv from my phone is genius for my laziness. Lol
Loses connection

The app seems to always lose connection to the tv. It will say that the tv is in “ECO MODE”, but offers no solution to the problem. I’ll also type in the IP Address on the tv into the app only to say a device is not connected to that IP.

This app is crap. It never works half the time and when it does I have to press the connect button at least 50 times before actually works or delete it and then download it back on again. Waste of time
