Forced videos and format ruin a good publication

zoli217

Great content, but infuriating and outdated design. Can’t pause or mute ads, which make trying to read an article in a meeting impossible.

Excellent reporting, but Auto play videos are terrible

Sweetshadey

I have loved The Hill for years. It has the best reporting and works hard to present both sides of the issues. It’s hands-down the best source of information for what’s happening in US government. All that being said, the videos that now auto play when clicking on a story are forcing me to consider leaving my most trusted news source.

Auto play video ads???

PBank

I have enjoyed The Hill for its content, but I’m about to dump it due to the latest update. When I click on a story, a video ad auto-plays with sound. I’m okay with ads, but not like this.

Wow to old...

Firesong79

No wonder the app has so many problems and can't do that much like sharing well. It's 3.5 years old. There have been a few iOS updates since then. Might want to, I don't know...update it?

Badly needs an update

I've had this app on and off for 3 years, and it hasn't been updated once. It looks like it was created for the IPhone 4.

Crashes

Midtown blue

Love the content. Hate the app. Crashes upon opening, consistently. Finally opens on the sixth or seventh try. Easily the least stable app on my devices.

I see no news

Govtpro

Zero news populates on their app. What's the point of having a news app is you don't get any news. I teach government college classes and would love my students to be able to use this app to stay informed but the app is useless.

Ok

mackeygirl

This app is ok, but has annoying pop up Google generated ads.

Needs to be updated

dallenjr

The app is barely operable. iOS even warns you that it is out of date and will slow down your phone. The app is so slow that you can barely open an article but then it freezes up anyway.

Disappointment in the form of an App

ApfelLöwe

This app hasn't been updated since 2013. It can't run on modern phones, and before it crashes it runs poorly. Can't the Hill pay a few thousand dollars for somebody to make them an app? Seriously.
