Won’t display properly on iPad

I want the content, but often I can’t read past the first paragraph of a story because the rest is cut off.
iPhone X needs update

I have an iPhone X. For whatever reason if you hold the phone in landscape mode and try and open a story none of the text for the story shows up. You have to open the story in portrait mode and then turn the phone and then you can read the story in landscape mode. Next, in landscape mode with the phone notch on the left, the text is sometimes cut off by the notch. I do love reading the hill. A lot of great reporting. Just annoyed that the app doesn’t work better.
Ads cover content

They can’t keep ads from covering content. Even after marking the ad to make it go away, still the empty box covered the content. Stupid.
Ads annoying and intrusive

Ads position themselves right over the articles in the main page so you can’t actually see what’s there. You can’t get rid of or minimize the ads

Ads block content so you can’t read the article summaries and cannot be removed by clicking the “x”.

They’ve chosen to use an ad overlapping method in their app. It’s annoying and if not corrected soon the app will be deleted.

Good informative app when it’s working. Biggest complaint with me is breaking news and notifications are not working. Please fix
