I have had great time courses for a number of years. The app and varied delivery of content make this a superb way to learn new topics and refresh old ones. The vast majority of the content is excellent and assumes limited knowledge of the subject. Even if you are very familiar with a subject you always learn something new.

I have enjoyed the Western Civilization course, and the cross platform accessibility is nice. However I frequently run into glitches on the iPhone when the next course is out of sync. Also, it is irritating to have a non-believer teach the New Testament course. I am in the theology field, and know of MANY excellent teachers who also believe. I realize that both perspectives are based on opinion; however the fact and impact of Christianity, and the billions of its adherents, should weigh on the side of an adherent teaching this course.

I have been with Great Courses for a few years and now have 44 courses. There are so many more courses that I would love to have. Now they have made it so I can carry them any where I go. The professors teach at a level that any person can understand. I can even listen to them while my wife shops.
