I guess that is why they call it "Great"Courses. Everything was interesting

These guys are always trying to get away with anything they can to cut corners (poor video quality in their courses (they're still SD), poor quality audio, crap courses they won't redo ("String Theory")) and now an app that has a junk video engine (can't even rewind to where you want it). Wonder if they would stop skimping if we stopped buying?

I only have one audio course so far so I can't speak to the multiple course issues. The app consistently loses my place when restarted and frequently loses the correct lesson. Many previously finished lessons show that they were only half completed, so it's just not keeping track. They fixed the problem where you must be connected for it to work, previously downloaded lessons are accessible now standalone. Please fix what seem like simple issues and I'd be happy to rate it higher later.

I have bought Great Courses for many years, both on CD and DVD. This app is much nicer than pulling out the box and loading the DVD into a player.

I love the great courses and own quite a few that I revisit regularly. The issue I have is the extremely slow download speed. I travel a lot and want to use the courses I've purchased while flying but the slow download speed greatly limits the courses I have time to download.

But sometimes the internet is so far, or so slow. The app is basically unusable in metro transit situations because of congestion with cell carriers, which is exceedingly frustrating because that's the exact situation that I want to use the app. The loading screen is pretty, but slow. And the bookmark functionality should be asynchronously set once the network is available and responds. The content is good and it's nice to be able to view content without using physical media.
