The app also features all of the new Diana+ cameras and clones currently produced by the Lomographic Society.

The app also contains a complete history of the Diana camera, and features shooters, Jonathan Bailey, Christopher Crawford and Sean Duggin. The app also takes a look at the next logical step in tradition of the Diana, the Lensbaby and includes many photos by Allan Detrich.

History of the Diana Camera

Around 1960, a small firm in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong, a company called the Great Wall Plastics Factory created a dirt-cheap 120 camera called the “Diana”. This toy camera was made entirely of plastic, each camera costing pennies to make. Quality control was lacking and among shooters; the Diana was considered a dismal failure and was discontinued in the 1970’s.

The Diana Camera app captures the history of the little known art camera, and showcases some of the beauty that came from the plastic lens camera. The app also discusses some of the modern day digital alternatives to the 1960's flop such as the Lensbaby.
