A good source of news with in-depth articles BUT now required a $5/month subscription. Sorry - I’m out.

This app locks up all the time for me. I love the content, but now loathe trying to access it. Just like Salon, it's only a matter of time before I stop even trying.

May you thrive as our country recovers from this very unfortunate, hopefully brief lapse of value in objective reality.

The app login (for The Beast Inside) fails every time. I can only login to the full site. I keep hoping they’ll fix it but weeks have gone by.

I paid for a subscription to the Daily Beast because I thought supporting independent journalism important; however, I am now being inundated with loud obnoxious advertisements that start playing without warning. So, here I am trying to read quietly in the waiting room of a doctor’s office, or in a conference room, and this loud crap starts spewing out of my phone telling everyone I am not doing what I ought to be doing. This may be a trend among journalism apps, but it stinks, and why should I be paying for it? So beware!! I don’t feel like I should have to turn my phone volume completely off before opening an app, because I invariably forget to turn it back up, and miss something important. Now I got to figure out how to get back into ITunes, and get a refund on my subscription before deleting this highly irritating news feed. There are plenty of others that aren’t doing this.

Love he Daily Beast content. Always have. But the app has removed swipe navigation, which is cumbersome and a backward step. Why??

I loved this app. It had some interesting articles and I never experienced any issues with it. But now, almost half of the articles require a subscription—and probably a fee—to read them. Sorry Daily Beast, there is AT LEAST one spelling mistake in each article and the content you publish isn’t THAT good. There’s no way I’m paying to read some poorly spelled, just barely above-mediocre “Beast Inside” articles. And the non-“Beast Inside” articles absolutely don’t justify keeping this app on my phone. I’m deleting this app and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I love this app especially the cheat sheet it saves time by giving me a brief summary of today’s events instead of having to read a long article.
