Shockingly bad

truthy P

I honestly can not believe how horrible this app is. Nearly impossible to read the paper on an iPhone. Compared to NYT or WashPo apps this feels like something I should be accessing on a 56k modem. A true digital time capsule to a darker age.

Why the hate?

hoyadoin

I use this app on my iPhone 6s and don't have any issue. I had been using an older version about a year ago and enjoyed that as well. Not sure why others are having problems.

Terrible

50 yr Globe reader

Doesn't John Henry get it??? He would fire his Red Sox or hedge fund IT dept if they were this bad!!!! Every Sunday I have to delete the app and reinstall to get my issue

Hopeless

Sometimes it delivers the entire paper sometimes not. Sports section is MIA today. Navigation tools are useless. Don't know why they can't get their act together

Surprisingly Terrible!

The app consistent fails to deliver...the paper is often late...stories are often missed by the touchscreen...the tech support is woeful...I've had to erase/download the app twice in the past 7 days because it is unresponsive. This is the sum and substance of tech support...reboot the app. They never just fix it.

Needs Work

A 12 year old could have designed a significantly more reliable app. Sad!

What a joke

honkbadonk

When it worked (once) I thought it was a joke. It's a mini-version of the newspaper(!?!?). Does the Globe think readers would find any other presentation hard to navigate? Get with the times.

Clunky

WSJ wait

Frequent crashes make it very frustrating to attempt to read the paper. Other newspapers have much better apps

Great newspaper, great app.

When people complain it takes a minute or two to download and the New York Times takes seconds, they don't understand I guess that the entire Globe newspaper downloads and every story it then instantly available. With the a Times, each time you click on a story, that story then has to download. I've been reading the e-Globe since it first became available. I lived in Maine now in the White Mountains and I download the entire Globe on my iPad before 5:00 am everyday, it's a great service. I can't believe anyone could honestly criticize the Globe or the app.

Zero step forward, two steps back

No quality assurance at all. Sunday paper is usually missing a section. Don't they use the app? I read the Globe despite the app. Mr. Henry deserves deserves better. After 3 major updates, still a pain to read an article in page mode without links. Scrolling while zoomed behaves idiotically- like no other app - you have to zoom out then scroll! If they listen to users as they say, why aren't there links in page view? Please put back the article continuation links so one can read a news story without bumbling and fumbling around. There is a tiny regional newspaper app with a much better interface than this (Recorder from Greenfield MA), so get with it Globe.
