Lousy lousy app, great magazine

Why why why has this crappy app not been fixed? The New Yorker has a terrific app. I have a print subscription, and this app doesn't show the magazine, doesn't show any back issues, and keeps signing out. Yuck.

Long time paying customer... The new interface is awful. You took something I enjoyed and made it unenjoyable to read. Further, I'm tired of having to log back into the magazine app every time you make an update. I'm a paid subscriber through the iTunes Store, make it work so I don't have to hassle. Hate to tell you. You're losing me here. Very saddened.

The design is plain, and the performance is sub-par. And it lacks many essential features that most well-designed comparable apps have. But most pathetically of all, the app crashes regularly. And by regularly, I mean that it will oftentimes crash several times within a few minute time span. After reading other reviews of this app, it is clear that many others experienced these issues too. Don't download this app. Instead, just access The Atlantic's website with your browser of choice.
Worst periodical app ever

I have two print subscriptions, for my son and myself, and yet I am unable to access the magazine through the app, which is BY FAR the worst app I've downloaded- or in Atlantic's case, TRIED to download. Each time I try to use this app I'm asked to PAY for access to the current (or any) issue. When I click that I'm already a subscriber I'm told I have access, then I get sent back to the beginning of the process; it's a constant loop. I called customer service and was told they've gotten a lot of complaints just like mine- so why the hell can't they fix it?! Atlantic needs to study the New Yorker playbook!

This app is the absolute worst piece of garbage that I've ever seen. Almost like a first-gen app made by a high-school student. Don't waste your time.
