This app is worth its money

Glitchy, very glitchy

Freezes so badly sometimes that I have to restart my ipad. It puts magazines that are partially downloaded where already downloaded mags are---when I try to read it later, I have to have wifi and can't read offline. Very good variety of magazines with more coming all the time.

You gotta have Texture!

Lin and Bob okla.

There’s no reason not to get Texture. The price of a couple magazines and you can read all of them. Best thing I’ve ever done.

Please avoid!!

Love the simplicity

I have been a member for a year. I enjoy I can have any magazine I love and not carry the extra paper weight when traveling plus the recycling is not necessary.

Leaving all comment here for reference but raised stars for good response...

11/30/17: Developer has responded to problem after seeing my lowered review rating. I have raised the stars back to 4 since they actually responded to the issue that I reported. Raising back to 5 stars will occur if I continue to experience zero problems for the next few weeks. My original happiness with what this app offers still applies. I just need to see that there are no further unacknowledged issues that appear. 11/17/17: Things have occurred with this app that make me deeply unhappy at the moment. I downloaded the latest issue of People today, only to have it arrive on my iPad 4 looking blurry and grainy. I will delete it and download it again. My problem is that when trying to locate a way to report this in the app, there is none. When I went to the Texture website and took the time to fill out their "contact us" form and clicked send, it failed with a garbled error message and a total loss of what I had typed to them. This is totally unacceptable for a service that I pay for. There should always be a way to contact an app developer and either ask for help or report a problem. Until this lack of communication issue is resolved, I have to lower my rating to 2 stars, which stands for "below average" to me. If nothing is done about the problem, I will need to lower my rating permanently to 1 star. If this issue is addressed promptly, showing excellent customer service and response, I will be happy to raise this rating back up. From 2012: This app is amazing! I love magazines, but I can never afford them, and I don't want the hard copies around cluttering up my house either. With Next Issue, I get to have my cake and eat it too. The fee is affordable, and everything is digital. Woohoo! Can't wait for more magazines!

Excellent

I travel all the time & this app is the best. I love having access to so many magazines. During special occasions it is great to have all recipes in one easy place. I will never be without this app!111

Love This App!

I read the reviews that were mixed at best, but got a 3 month deal, so I decided to try it. If you like magazines like I do, this is the app for you. I love to read and purchase mags in the checkout lines and I subscribe to 5 or 6 mags every year. I try not to think about the amount of money I spend...this app is the answer. It has a ton of mags - real mainstream ones - and includes past issues. Even if you think you really only like paper mags, give the app I try. I promise the variety of periodicals means you do more than just browse them in the check out line. I find myself reading way more than I was. I like both the mobile and tablet version. I will be continuing my subscription and canceling my paper versions.

Tough to read

I would like this app ten times more if it were easier to read the actual magazines. The only one I can really read on my phone is The New Yorker. Everything else is just scans of full-sized pages from whatever magazine it is. I know many magazines have their own apps and mobile reading platforms, so why not just use them instead of having to pinch and zoom around a full-sized template? Still, it’s a great service and I’m happy to use it, especially at the new, lower price.
