It's Great!

Nothing like being able to speed up songs!

Ad Removal Fee Worthless

JohnnyLew2

The pop up ads are always running and can be loud and annoying. I paid $.99 to have them removed when an ad popped up from Tempo inviting me to do this. But the ads continue so I'm getting my money refunded by Apple. Tempo has no customer service so beware of upgrades!!!!!

A must-have for violin learner

CynthiaTY

My daughter is learning suzuki violin. I use this app everyday to help her practice. The most useful feature is to slow the tempo of the music so she can play with the book CD. I also like the marker and playlist, very convenient tools. Love it!!!

Start Over?

Renseg

Would be pretty good but one big flaw - when you stop/pause, you can only resume from where you paused. But what if you want to simply start over? You apparently have to go all the way to the ending! (Point is, if you are playing along, make a mistake and want to go back to the beginning, no nice way to do this. It would seem to be a common thing to do when using this app for its intended purpose)

very well designed

just moved over from Amazing Slowdowner. Tempo SloMo is much much better.

WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF GETTING THIS EARLIER?

amarsh54

I am an amateur drummer going back to the mid 60s. I have been practicing lately on my Yamaha electronic drum kit. I play old classic and progressive rock. I am not good anymore so I try in vain to remember how to play old Genesis, Pink Floyd, Who, Rush, etc. I could not figure out how to play the complex fills or time signatures of some Genesis and Rush. Songs like "Tom Sawyer", "The Camera Eye", and "Supper's Ready" give me fits. Actually, forget Tom Sawyer. Too hard. Yesterday, I wondered if there was maybe an app that would slow down the music without taking away the tonal quality? I know, I'm old. What can I say. So I googled it, and this app came up for the Apple Store. I looked at the reviews and the interface, and I thought, much like messing with an iPod. So I got it. I hooked iphone up to the drum machine input to my kit, and the kit to a speaker. I put on "Tom Sawyer" and dialed it down to 90% bpm, then 80, then 75%. I played the song a few times, then started practicing to it. I finally heard Neil Peart's sticking and fills in detail. At full speed, it's too hard to hear the sticking he uses, because he's so fast. Now I can! Now it's a matter of time and practice to try to match it. I know I can't, but I can get close. Then I can work up to full speed. I am better at "The Camera Eye", but again a couple of the fills in the final sections are quite difficult at full speed unless you're a real pro. I was able to hear the sticking and can maybe get close to doing them too. "Supper's Ready" has a penultimate section that is in 9/8 time. Tony Banks does a keyboard solo in it that is in 4/4 overlaying the 9/8 of the rhythm section. Keeping the beat while trying to mimic Collin's complex "improv" through this is hard at full speed, but doable at 85-90% speed until I can get better. What a great app. So easy to use, with a simple easy to recognize iPod mimicing interace. I wish I would have found this years ago. I am so dumb for not looking for it earlier. Kudos to the authors.

Great for drummers!

Kari$G.

This is so awesome! I am a drummer and sometimes need to learn a lot of songs very quickly. Theres always that one fill or drum beat you just cant figure out especially at fast tempos, this app helps to slow down the track so you can hear every beat and count! ? Kari G Child

Nice but for one issue

JAHO2011

The pitch adjustment is too course grain. The minimum change the tool supports is a 50 cent step size, which is half the distance between notes on the piano. Especially as a paid feature, this should be high resolution. It would be so much more useful if the pitch step size were 1 cent, just as the speed is. Improve this, and I will give this tool 5 stars. I know Dropbox is supported, but I use Google Drive. I would love to see support for that.

what a useless app!

dragonborn dovakin

you load the song, you change the pitch, you save the edit. it's so useless and annoying when you're not allowed to save anything at all. it's not illegal music, when you're making and downloading it on your cell.

Littered with ads

ponstermenis

Decent app but the ads cheapen the image of the app. Paid app but there about 5 different upsells within the app. Really annoying and irrelevant ads start playing when you have your headphones on and push pause.
