This is a great app, providing a lot of information, accurate, easy to use, and easy to learn. The people at Tdameritrade are courteous, helpful and knowledgeable.

1) destroys carefully crafted charts on app updates and recreating the charts is a PITA experience. Highly doubt the developers and QA team add more than one study during testing. 2) one year plus from being reported, still does not handle Thinkscript setlineweight and assigncolor commands correctly, nor does it respect a line being set to double.nan as line is plotted from las visible value. Net result is that 90% of my custom studies DON'T work. 3) can't aggregate prices within studies on weekly or monthly basis.. Instead your study fails silently 4) UI could stand an update in which emphasizes the usability of the interface vs pretty graphic layout - eg why am I required to click twice to change the ticker in expanded chart mode. Why is there not a watchlist on the right that I can click once and switch tickers one after another to quickly scan? Bottom line, decent app but is in no where near optimized... And management insisted on adding glitzy features such as viewing which charts are visible on desktop.... Me I'd rather bring along my MacBook than rely on this software.....

I’ve been using this app on an iPhone for 4 months. Was using it on an android before, for 3 years. Both are very good, but iPhone version is quite a bit better.

Awesome Platform with some ongoing issues

Easy to use, add and modify studies, fast order generation. Charting and indicators need attention!! I would like the TTM_Squeeze indicator to be fixed. This is a key indicator for many of my trades and the alert has never worked on this platform. Others have mentioned this flaw yet no action to fix this issue. Now another indicator the rsi_shared_Laguerre also does not work. Another major issue is that study groups cannot be copied from one time frame to another, making it necessary to do a lot of work entering them over and over again. This is a real pain that others mention, yet not fix. If TD Ameritrade does not address the charting issues with indicators and styles, I may have to switch to TradeView which has better charting for mobile use. I am not able to be at my desktop to use the full version of TOS due to work, so the mobile version needs to step it up a notch or be left out. **Update** Access issue while traveling wouldn’t resolve with logging out or shutting phone off. Support couldn’t fix with reloading app as only fix. Again wiping out all my saved study sets! Why can’t these be saved on the cloud? Getting a 1 star for this recurring problem TDAmeritrade refuses to resolve.

If you believe in security, and follow the instruction of secure passwords, Trader will lose you money. When you want to trade, their security forces you to re-enter your password. If you have to look it up, you lost the trade window. If you are mobile and don’t have it with you, you lost the trade. I called to get this problem fix and get it to work like it use to (restart the program by simple double tapping home button and sliding Trader off screen). Their comment was to take it under advisement. This program is anything but convenient. It will lose you money.

I started a new account with them and they screwed up the account setup. I bought some stock then no matter what I did I could not sell my stock. The stock started dropping and I could not sell and took a big hit because of them.
