App is very functional and intuitive. Inability to exercise option contracts from App is a negative. It would be nice to have cross functionality with website content eg., inability to access/update alerts, saved trades, etc between app and website. Overall a useful asset in my trading tool set-I use it daily and recommend it often.

This app is just a representation of how TD Ameritrade is. Customer focused. I love this app and the company.

I use the TD Trader app everyday but after the new update, I’ve switched to other useful apps unfortunately. The updated version is horrible: The candle sticks are too close and not easy to watch, the side tool bar was better above the chart, now it’s to the side and right in the center of the chart, the app also seems slower.

Great app, easy to use, and price action seems more accurate than the platform

So it is one of the top, if not best, mobile platforms on the market but the only thing I wish is that I could view the chart with my trade after I have placed the order. It seems that you can view that before you place the order but it would be nice to have the visual while the trade is on. Not necessary but when you have a fairly sophisticated iron condor or complex spread in general you tend to want to have the visual. Other than that it is a powerful tool.

This app is becoming one of my most used as I trade more often. I like the way the chart shows up in details and is easily customizable. I pair the app with the other Ameritrade app because I like the white background on it for research and reports. Trader app is much more reliable for trading though. The charts are user friendly as you rotate the phone as well. I like that the company has platforms for different types of investors. ThinkorSwim is the most advanced trading platform I've seen and I love using it! When in doubt, right click! The support is amazing in times of need, too!

Just before Christmas they did something. Can’t even get to enter a u/p. Just sits there spinning. iPad and iPhone.

Is there any way to change the default chart view/timeframe? It defaults to the 20 year weekly view, which at this point centers you on 1997, and takes a heap of swiping/scrolling to get you to the latest candle. Actually all timeframes switch you to the middle and take a bunch of scrolling to get you to the latest data. If you switch to different names, you’re back at the 20 year weekly and 1997. Can’t imagine anybody find this “feature” particularly helpful.

The app automatically sets to a 100 shares. But when you enter in your new shares, be careful because it auto resets back to 100. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts to get it to stay.
