I was surprised to see in this most recent release that the beep tone option no longer has a toggle switch in order to enable or disable beep tones. This leaves the customer with fewer freedoms over this app. Beep tones mean that people will be guarded in what they say when you are communicating with them. I’m talking about recordings for personal records and not public, legal, or court admissible recordings. I did receive an immediate response from the developer via e-mail. They were able to remove the beep tones on an account level ... back to 5 stars !!!

Worst customer service ever. I’ve had two calls unavailable since 7/18/2019. I’ve done everything that has been asked of me. Remove app. Reboot phone. Reinstall. Edit dial in number. With days and days in between support responses. I will be unsubscribing and requesting a refund through my payment method if I don’t get resolution immediately. (By the way, these are not my only two issues in the last few years. Just the two most recent.)

Every time I try to use the app it tells me it’s unavailable. It has worked 1 times in months. Not worth the money at all. Never works when you need it.

I recently recorded an interview with the Chief Science Officer of our company who travels a lot and is hardly in a convenient location for interviews. I thought Tape A Call Pro would serve as an answer to our prayers to get this interview—and then podcast for a radio show—completed with good audio quality. I watched and followed the tutorials on recording for both incoming and outgoing calls. I tested the app. on several people with different phones to see if this made a difference beforehand—this included outgoing and incoming tests. I listened to the sound quality. Our 25 minute recording of awesome quality and perfected, scripted questions did not save. It totally inconvenienced me, my department, and the Chief Science Officer. I was obviously panicking and sending a support ticket to Tape A Call’s website, but there’s no accessible or visible way of contacting them. I had to go back and forth with a chat bot for several minutes before sending in a ticket that stated I would hear back within 24 hours. I wanted to wait and hear back before telling my department I had to record our Chief Science Officer for a second time first. Its been over 24 hours and I have yet to hear back! The technology failed and I highly recommend using more than one recorder for backup with this app! Upon viewing the FAQs (the only link available on the app’s. Contact us page) I read that someone else had this problem. The response from Tape A Call was that their carrier did not support conference calls. My carrier supports conference calls, so that’s not the issue either. Not sure what to expect or say about this, but it failed and inconvenienced me.

I’ve used this app a few times, always asking my conversational partner if it is okay. The app is extremely easy to use and the quality of the recording is quite good. It does the job.

I am a journalist and podcast producer and I love this app. Totally worth the money I paid for it. The recordings are crisp and easy to transcribe, and in some cases I’ve use the audio file in my podcast. The user experience is super easy. You just press the red button and then merge your call. Love it and I’m thankful for it.

Requested a simple phone number change and it's been a week with no help. I can't even use the service until they fix this issue for me. If the support is this bad, how can you trust the product? Very negative experience and a waste of $20.

I had this app years ago and it worked fine. I selected the US number to Merge and it is in Spanish. We tried calling the number on another iPhone in my family and it was not included in our phone plan? We have one of the major carriers and reside in metro Detroit. Still looking

It's a scam. I paid for a lifetime membership then all of a sudden it's telling me to pay for a monthly membership. I paid and it still dont work. It charged me 3 different times.
