Failure to Record – TapeACall Pro: Call Recorder Review

I recently recorded an interview with the Chief Science Officer of our company who travels a lot and is hardly in a convenient location for interviews. I thought Tape A Call Pro would serve as an answer to our prayers to get this interview—and then podcast for a radio show—completed with good audio quality. I watched and followed the tutorials on recording for both incoming and outgoing calls. I tested the app. on several people with different phones to see if this made a difference beforehand—this included outgoing and incoming tests. I listened to the sound quality. Our 25 minute recording of awesome quality and perfected, scripted questions did not save. It totally inconvenienced me, my department, and the Chief Science Officer. I was obviously panicking and sending a support ticket to Tape A Call’s website, but there’s no accessible or visible way of contacting them. I had to go back and forth with a chat bot for several minutes before sending in a ticket that stated I would hear back within 24 hours. I wanted to wait and hear back before telling my department I had to record our Chief Science Officer for a second time first. Its been over 24 hours and I have yet to hear back! The technology failed and I highly recommend using more than one recorder for backup with this app! Upon viewing the FAQs (the only link available on the app’s. Contact us page) I read that someone else had this problem. The response from Tape A Call was that their carrier did not support conference calls. My carrier supports conference calls, so that’s not the issue either. Not sure what to expect or say about this, but it failed and inconvenienced me.
