Best in the field

Pigscz

This is the best beginner's coding app that I've found so far. I wish there were more advanced lessons later on and that it could teach other languages, though!

Way Overpriced

The Swanson Guarantee

The developer is not responsive. People have been complaining about the lack of a progress tracker within lessons for a long time. You would think an app that teaches you how to make apps would be better maintained. Especially for the price of further lessons. The free content is extremely limited. It’s about 40 minutes to work through material that could be learned in under 10 minutes of reading. The exercises are not valuable, they are hoops to jump through that just provide filler, which is hugely disappointing. There are 9 free lessons, the other 25 are $10. This material, plus much more, is readily available online for free. The depth of the course does not justify the price tag at all.

Can’t get enough

New2Sonos

I mostly wanted to rate and thank the developers for the app. It has kept my interest and kept me motivated and learning Swift. Also wanted to note one issue that I think should be corrected (or explained if I am wrong). In the second Optionals lesson, there is a variable pollResponse typed as String? I am certain this should be a Bool? based on the exercise. Otherwise, fantastic!!

Four days in!

Krystal DeAnn

I'm only four days in, but I'm in love.

No save? Grrr

Vanny04girl

I love this being I am self teaching to code. However today I was on the end of lesson three and got out to respond to a text and it didn’t save where I was and now I have to start all over again. I have paid for the full unlock and hopefully in the future updates they will fix this issue and possibly add an index or glossary to refer back on (??).

Ok, but I agree with ...

Dbolson0104

It gives you a great understanding of the Swift language. But I have to agree with the review Dasheronimous posted on August 14, 2017.

Take it back a step button needed.

SpotdogX2

A "Back" button would be helpful... Pretty simple way to learn, thank you.

Love it

Silver360gt

Very easy to understand and allows me to start thinking of how to use the code in real applications.

The Best Intro to Coding

I've made some solid progress in coding with this app. It's concise and convenient to learn. I'd recommend it to any beginners.

Impressive Instructional App

Naitt

I'm an older person, and have taken the time to learn many different things over the years... both in schools/colleges and on my own in spare time... I have also been a teacher (3 years teaching Spanish, Social Studies & Grammar at a k-12 private school), a trainer for jobs, and a voluntary teacher/critic for others in general... reviewing game strategies for games like chess, go, & modern rts or moba games). Learning new things and teaching others has been a common constant my whole life... and this app so far has continued to impress me. Well-designed by people who obviously understand instructional methodology, as well as the subject matter being explained, this app is an instructional tool that breaks down coding into simple segments that do not over-extend and encourage a proper, steady pace of learning, and utilize almost all of the techniques for optimal retention (Explaining, Quizzing, & Multiple practice forms... only missing auditory segments insofar as recommended teaching methods) Personally, I am including for myself a long-term project idea, where I add a little more after each lesson so as to practice implementation on my own. (Hopefully, by the end of the course, I will have a working prototype of an app I'd like to create) If the app could encourage such an open-ended portion as well, it would be perfect.
