Tap coding

The app in Ok, for the first level and makes some sence but I don’t get why you have to wait for the next level.

Great for a learner with ADHD

I like it so far! A nice tool to stay on track and not forget the basics when it’s very hard for you to focus for a long time. Using the app in addition to learning Swift with a book, hope for no ridiculously priced paywall later in the app.

Good so far

AgentTony

Great App. Worth the price. Only part I hate is when it makes me type in a bunch of code. It is typing practice more than coding practice and iPads are not best for a typing test. The other exercises are very helpful.

Colors

sjohnn93

I’m not sure what is this related to, but the colors are wrong, when you have to answer questions, there’s white writings in white background which makes it impossible to read, but the instructions are great!

Glitch in App

FluffyCarob

When I’m in Basics II lesson called Placeholders, I get to a page where I need to type out text (code) and I’m following it exactly but it refuses to let me continue even though I’m typing the right code it’s not moving forward past the (. I took a screenshot and it’s the part where it says this: Type the Code: var highScore = 1032 print(“The high score to beat is (highScore””)”) This is exactly what it says. When I get to the part after the word is, and I’m copying the exact text underneath what I’m typing, the next symbol being a parentheses, it highlights it another color and won’t let me move forward, even though I’m typing exactly the same thing as what the code shows me.. Please fix this, I love this app and really wanna learn Swift in case I decide to release my own app in the future. Not to mention this is fun for me and makes me feel very knowledgeable and smart to be learning it. And cool. ?

Great app

learningHowToCode

Good way to learn swift on your iPhone. I don’t why people cry about spending money. A lot of hours were put in making this app. The developer needs to make money to. You learning swift to make apps. Would you just give those away for free after putting in a lot hours making it?

Thank you TapCoding

Nervosa420

I couldn’t be much happier with this app. It’s just what it says it is and that’s refreshing. I especially love the once daily reminders to practice. It teaches you to pace yourself in the learning experience instead of getting the much dreaded burnout of trying to soak in too much in one sitting. The persistent quizzing is also very effective in helping you to not only gain but retain the knowledge you’re acquiring. Hats off to the developers. I would’ve given it five stars but I’m gonna save that star for some incentive for you to keep wowing me. Lol. Thanks again.

App won’t load

I’m not sure if it’s just for the iPhone X, but it keeps me in a page that says loading cloud data for hours upon end

Great App, couple fixes

gogaton

This app is great! After finishing the beginner classes, I gladly purchased the $6 bundle for the rest. However there are a couple minor changes I wish the developers would make: 1) a way to save progress in the middle of a lesson. So many times I’ll have to restart a lesson because mid-lesson I respond to a text or other notification that popped up, and when I return to the app, the lesson was restarted. 2) The typing... its so pointless and so annoying. Showing exactly what needs to be typed defeats the purpose in my opinion. So many times when “type the code” comes up I’ll just mindlessly tap into my keyboard the keys that show up already on the screen. Only after spending a minute or so typing, then I’ll look at the code in its entirety and try to figure out how it relates to the lesson and what it’s output will be. Having to go through typing it out seems pointless, not to mention annoying. Otherwise I’m very glad I downloaded this app!
