Video calling Not working/ Many bugs
mdv523

I like the idea of video chat but this app is buggy: First video will show in the PC but won't show video in my Iphone4, Seconde, connection will last for 2 minutes the most and will terminate third , I think its dumb to require headset for video/call chat four, video chat with the ability to video chat in landscape or portrait five, be able to start video chat from iphone thanks for doing this but please don't let 6months past to do update...once video is fixed this app will rock..

Not happy with the terms of service

I didn't like the terms of service. I just wanted to connect to gchat I didn't want to get in bed with gtalk2voip service.

Best MUC client on the iPhone
Seoras Ray

This is by far the most feature rich Jabber MUC client on the iPhone. I've tested pretty much all of them this is the only one to support almost all the Jabber XEP-0045 protocol specifications. If you run your own Jabber server then this app will give you room configuration, user lists, member permissions, permission based status icons etc. It works great with Openfire, especially the XMPP Service Discovery option. You can even perform discovery on a different server than the one you are connected to, great if you use GTalk logins for accessing Openfire rooms for example. Voice calling worked as advertised, and yes it does use the third party SIP Gateway service that other reviewers mentioned. I haven't see anything nefarious in it's use so far, although I can understand the surprise at seeing the service appear without warning in your roster. Video calling didn't work for me. Video from the phone was visible on the computer but nothing was visible on the phone. I imagine this will get fixed in a future update but I would not use this app if that is your key requirement. All told this is a great app and you can't argue with the price. I would however like to see a paid version that allows for the removal of the SIP Gateway and Dialer options since those are extraneous to everyday use for me anyway. I'd like to support the developers without the use of third party gateway services if possible.

This is the best gtalk app I can get on iPhone and nokia 5800

Only works for their spammy service
InfamousBrad

Will only log in to certain xmpp servers - the ones it can use to send spam. Do not install.

No push :(
cfwesley

This is the only app out of all of the free jabber apps that consistently works. It even supports conferences, which is a major plus. Unfortunately, with no push notifications, I feel it is incomplete. It would be 4-5 stars if it had it for sure.

Sip client
Beyondzero

Works well when combined with an ipkall number, google voice, and a ekiga.net sip account to make free voip calls over wifi.

fantasticheskiy app
ovoschnayabaza

i use this app on nokia for several years. now it seems to work great on my ipod touch. there is no match for it. u can disable talkonaut service account in PSI. all will continue to work. supports google chat and talk. as well as a voip account of your choice. callcentric in my case. does not drain your i-device as skype does
