Phone

The main reason I got this is because I have a habit of loosing my phone at home. The only way Tag it works is if you have your app open on your phone. Well after a few minutes the phone shuts down so the original intent of finding it is gone.

Could use fine tuning and a better map

Mr Kylhappy

Fine tuning: The device's shell should be made of the same material that some fishing rods are made of, durability. The power button is a joke on the model that I bought at a nearby Walmart. Seriously, a button cover that anyone could just snap off is just not sufficient enough. Your Apple App needs a serious amount of rework, half of the choices won't work. Better map: Google Earth, maybe. Google Maps have consistently put my location two streets down from where I actually am. High time for a rethink, in my opinion.

Please read review first

I wish I had read the review before purchasing. This item constantly beeps unless you turn it off in the app. I wanted to be able to locate an item if it was lost. This item alarms around every 3-5 minutes of the tag is connected to your app like you need it to be should you lose an item. But there is not a search feature. It beeps no matter what. Then if you are more than 60ft from the item your phone starts alarming as well. To stop all the annoying noise you have to disconnect the Bluetooth pairing. So then if you should lose your tagged item you can not pair it back to find the item. This is a bad design. Cheap made product and I am returning mine to the store. The location map is very inaccurate as well so even if it did operate as intended you would not be able to locate the item via map.

What's the problem?

I love this Tag-it! Let me say right off I'm not paid to write reviews. What you see is what you get! I read that you can't hear it on the actual Tag-it... Yes you can. Switch the 'Light' off! You can't hear it on your phone... Oh yes you can! Frightened the heck out of me. I turned 'Light' off! Do that, and it becomes LOUD. I don't know about the constant beeping because it's never done that with me. It's attached to my escapee dog Bella, and if she leaves the yard I sure know about it! So it does its job too. Even has her photo on it.... With her name! Not rocket science to operate. Spare batteries are at your nearest store (they last about six months) and you even have a battery indicator. Simple. Thank you Tag-it. ❤

It didn't connect to my iPhone 7

I tried everything to get it connected to my phone, even replacing the battery in it. If flash twice after pushing the button, but would never show up on my Bluetooth. So, though I tried to get it to work, I have to give it a one star review because it simply did not work.

Useless if you close app always beeping

ymunevar

I (her husband) got this for my wife since she panics when she cant find her keys. I thought cool,Walmart and >$10 because the Square tile (the original) on Amazónica are like $25 Well this is a complete waste. If you close the app and the tag os connected on Bluetooth it starts beeping beeping beeping. This is on a iPhone 6. So it keeps a constant connection all the time it does have replaceable battery but it's not worth it so going to return it and delete the app. This is not worth the money or the time says it doesn't work like it's supposed to work.

Dont wasted your time or money

You are wasting you good hard earn Money. It does not work it say it would.

Very short range. App HAS to be open and connected to work

I got this for my dog. It's says it has an anti lost mode which really just makes the tracker beep (very quietly) if she wanders more than 30 feet away from me. Including if I close the app!! It doesn't alert my phone unless the app is open. And the only way to use the "last known location" is if you're with 30 feet of it, with the app open!!! What's the point of that!? If my dog wanders more than 30 feet it's useless!! This would be okay for items that never leave the house, but it's not at all what I would call a tracker. It just beeps when you tell it too and you have to be within Bluetooth range and earshot for it to even work. None of this was noted on the box. It's VERY misleading when your purchasing it in store. All I can say is if you haven't opened the package yet RETURN IT!!
