A good first effort, but fails in the updates

Well I've been pretty happy with Sync, despite the lack of a search function. They have explained to me that a search function would not work with their encryption, but that really makes no sense to me because when the app is open the names of the files in my vault are not encrypted. At any rate, the completely lame description of the last two updates makes me think that they are no longer serious about providing a functional app so I guess I need to start searching for a replacement Well after the long wait it's finally here. The app is easy to use and, so far syncs flawlessly. The only complaints I have are that it doesn't have a search function and it is almost impossible to find in the App Store. Sync is really an unfortunate name for an app because no matter how you search you get over two thousand hits.

I have gone through my first year of using this app on; Android, Apple and Windows devices. I stumbled upon it searching for a cost effective, easy to use and secure storage alternatives to Google, DropBox and other online storage providers. The app completely replaces iCloud with more storage for less. $50 a year for 500 gig!!!! I find going from my Windows work computer to my home Mac to my Samsung Tablet where I shoot drone footage to my iPhone to watch them- 100% consistent available and so simple to use. Save a doc at work, open it anywhere on almost anything. I'm also an avid Linux user but there currently isn't a means other than a browser to reach my files. Someday maybe.

So far so good, I used google drive did not like it, Box is getting out of price range and Onedrive well it’s a Microsoft product so lots of issues as always. So far sync has been great easy to use and pretty fast. My only concern is the mobile app after all we use it to be mobile and it’s missing features. The biggest one is the ability to open an attachment in email and upload to your sync folder. There is no option for that? Very strange. Fix that it’s a 5 star rating.

The app is missing a lot of file management functionality. You cannot move or rename files. There is no direct integration with the Files app yet. Also, there is no search functionality. This app lags behind its biggest competitors in these areas. I hope they are soon addressed.
App crashes constantly

I love sync’s desktop app and website, but this app crashes whenever I try to download a file or open the vault or settings menu.

Hooray for Files app support! Sync works great, and keeps files private while still allowing sharing. It's next-generation file sharing.
Made duplicates of all my data on my phone

This happened to me with MEGA too and I don’t know how to fix it, but when I start uploading photos/videos, it copies the data and stores it on my phone. I can see all the files on the website, but I have no idea why it duplicates everything taking up unnecessary space on my phone. In my opinion, completely defeats the purpose of the app.
