Good up until now...

I’ve been using Scanbot for several years and always found it easy to use and a convenient way to keep all of my scans. Yesterday however, the app won’t email any scans, which is a crucial feature. I thought it was because I needed to upgrade, but when clicking on the upgrade button it tells me that there is no internet connection. I DO have an internet connection, but the app thinks I don’t for some reason. Guess I have to move to another app. Sad because there are a lot of scans in there and now I have no way of getting them off.

Love it

Use Scanbot all the time!

Backtracks on features already purchased

Had purchased Scanbot and advanced features. Latest update cripples app and previously purchased features. No longer icloud support and can’t use advanced color filters. This is junk. Almost lost all my scanned documents for the day because they took away the iCloud integration so I had to email pdf batches at a time. Lost a customer. Bye.

Used to be 5 stars, latest update is trash.

I paid for the app back before they switched to a subscription price model. It used to be great. The most recent update took away functionality I paid for, like automatic dropbox uploads. Instead, the app pushes me to pay 20 dollars a year (for a ducking scanning app?!) to unlock the functionality I already paid for. This sort of greedy, sleazy behavior should not be supported. DO NOT USE.

very good for online school!

because of the recent coronavirus outbreak, school is now done online for me. this means there’s a lot of virtual assignments. however, a lot of times we need to print something out and scan it into a pdf, and this app is perfect for that. i have to admit, the automatic scanning tool is pretty cool, but a lot of times it doesn’t get the part that i’m trying to scan. no problem tho, because i can just use the manual option, and crop it! this has made online school sooo much easier, and i would totally recommend using this app.

Scanbot is a great app. It needs to improve the encryption procedure. It is too difficult. It should be a one click operation. When prompted for a password I go to my password manager, "1password" and copy the selected password and then double paste it in the dialogue and then select "encrypt" My suggestion: Have the ability of NOT having to enter the password twice making it much easier for a password manager to enter in the password or better yet Copy "CamScanner" app's routine where you can set a password globally and then just one click to encrypt. ---- Currently being able to view an encrypted doc now by pressing the facial recognition is (5 star). I bought a years subscription and it is worth it. Continue to improve your product and I will be happy to pay for a subscription increase.

No help screen?

aghaag

I’ve happily used scanbot for a long time. I’m not thrilled with this new version. To send by email, I’m told to setup my email by going to settings. The only thing I see is advanced settings where I see no option for email. You have no help page, so where do I go for assistance?

doesn’t work anymore

TheGuy98

it was perfect and now it gets stuck at scanning second page

Scanbot is one of the best on the App Store

I downloaded scan pro two years ago and forgot I had it on my phone. When I went to download a scanner app recently I took one off of the top of the charts instead of scanbot. Dissatisfied with it, I went searching around for a new app and realized I already had a scanner app installed. I have scan bot a try and was really impressed. It’s best feature, even for the free service, is it’s API integration with 3rd parties. It saved you a ton of time organizing file locations. Well made app, really recommend.

Installed then deleted within minutes

Without a paid subscription- which I have no interest in buying- you can’t send your scan to a folder, OCR, or do just about anything else except take a straightened out photo. I suggest heeding the other poor reviews and skipping this app altogether. Developer: don’t bother regaling me with tales of a 7-day free trial; I got hit with sales-upgrade messages 4 times in the first minute that I tried to use anything worthwhile. Perhaps the best way to go about this is to show me it’s a good product, allow it to become an essential part of my workday, and THEN do the upsell. It might be a great app, but I’ll never know.
