My kingdom for an End Turn button!

Captain Defenestrator

Tried my first solo game, out of income to buy anything, but the game won’t let me proceed until I place a tile, which I can’t afford, and I see no way to tell it “End Turn” or if there, some action that I can do that will let me just pass or take money, it wasn’t well-explained in the tutorial.

Great game, just like the board game

Suburbia is incredibly addictive and engaging.

Problematic zooming on iPhone

BravoAlpha34

Zooming feels buggy on iPhone. Sometimes you lose sight of the tiles and have to quit the game and start a new one.

Runtime errors

Skellt

Nothing is more frustrating than playing out an entire game only to get “Runtime error bad argument #-1 to ‘?’ (String expected, got nil)”. This has ruined two attempts to play now so I’m done.

Great game, medium app

Random notes: -- Tutorial is incomplete. It gives a very basic understanding of game/interface, but leaves off important details like income and reputation go down when population increases. -- Single player campaign is an interesting challenge. Recommended. -- Single player campaign is frustrating because there are no saves. Switch apps for too long and you will be reset. -- The tile, income, and population are all computed at once. This is a good use of technology, but is bad for learning the game. I spend most of my time trying to figure out why the numbers are changing. I usually fail. -- That said, the tile scoring summary would be greatly improved if (a) moved so it doesn't cover other tiles, and (b) gave more icon information like it does for the population speed bumps. -- Can't do anything during another player's turn. Instead of disabling everything, only disable the two rows of the market. — Async games act weird. - (minor) I don't like the white background, especially at night. Something darker with some texture might contrast the hexes better. - (minor) The plus signs are difficult to distinguish from minus signs (iPad mini retina). - (minor) Wish there was an option to have the borough board be at the bottom so that the suburb grows up. The board game allows this. - (minor?) Allow players to choose between two secret goals. The game itself is good. Very puzzle like.

Unsure about the app

I am a very long time fan of this game and no it well. I just got the app and I like the app as well. However, after playing two games and being confused about how the app was adding up my income, I decided to double check it. I am very confident that it is not adding up my income correctly. It is hard to tell because you can’t see how many deductions you have from the population board, but I am showing that I should have an income of 26 minus population deductions. My population is 28. The game is showing me with an income of 15. If it isn’t adding up the effects of the tiles correctly then the game is unplayable because you cannot strategically select tiles. I would really appreciate a response, refund, or help in understanding this. Maybe I am missing something, but like I said, I am a long time fan of the board game and know it well. I don’t think I am mistaken.
