Sub Alert Rocks!

So much better than waiting and wondering if the phone is going to ring at 6am with a job offer! And nice to know ahead of time your assignments so you can plan your week. You’re crazy if you’re a substitute teacher and don’t get this APP, seriously it’s a Godsend ?

Very Helpful

Not being signed out is great, because then you're able to accept jobs right as they become available. A great feature to add would be the ability to add non-work days, but even without that I definitely recommend the app.

Substitute teacher

Great app! Helps me manage all of my subbing assignments from multiple districts in one spot. Alerts once a job is posted! Easy and convenient to use.

This app has been great. I’ve only needed to contact the Support twice in two years, and the results were quick and very helpful.

Amazing

I could only get a substitute job one or two days out of the week before this app. Starting the day I got this app, I was able to get a substitute job every day of the week for the entire school year if I wanted! This app is awesome! If you are a substitute and want to have multiple jobs offers where you can choose what you want to substitute and when, you NEED THIS APP!!!!

Love this app!

After the trial there was no question in my mind about using this app to book my jobs. Support is immediate and helpful.

Good app

Very good app, however it doesn’t allow to cancel a job once booked (still need to go to the website if need to cancel).

Best Substitute Teacher App

BHaas86

This is hands down the best substitute teacher app there is!! I have tried a few of them, this is the best one there is!! As soon as a teacher puts in for a day off, I immediately got a text and a call. Due to SubAlert, I was working full time because I received the notifications before all the other substitute teachers. If you are looking for something that will help you snag sub jobs quickly I would definitely subscribe to this app, it is definitely worth the $6.95/month!! I ended up just unsubscribing because of my new job endeavors, I contacted them to cancel my subscription. The customer service was amazing!! They refunded my last transaction (a day into it) and canceled my subscription for me. If I ever go back to subbing in the future I will definitely be subscribing to SubAlert again!!

Pretty good!

Great app! Does most of what I wanted. I just wish it backed up assignments to my calendar app.

Needs tweaking

Apple 4545

This application seems to favor certain wireless carriers? or perhaps it's related to hardware tolerances and software differences in cell phone manufacturers? I have stood next to a friend who has SubstituteAlert also…he will get notifications quicker than myself who uses a different wireless carrier and has a different brand of phone. SubstituteAlert releases jobs late at night and early in the morning disrupting sleep. SubstituteAlert refuses to work with school district (I have requested) that that they work who has a very specific times they release jobs through their web (no phone application) based application. SubstituteAlert works ok but is far from complete. My advice to SubstituteAlert is the always true statement that "The devil is in the details". If I were a software engineering manager at SubstituteAlert, I would design an experiment then generate bug reports to investigate the issues I have reported as I'm certain I'm not the only one experiencing these issues. Because I get substitute teacher jobs daily (but I get a lot if rejections because I'm too late to the phone), I am an avid user where perhaps someone who does not substitute on a daily basis, may not have experienced the things that I have witnessed with this application. I have reached out to SubstituteAlert but they will only communicate via email and their support network has been very ineffective. Issues I have raised with SubstituteAlert get quickly blamed or pushed back on my school district (this is unprofessional and not objective). I know I could help SubstituteAlert perfect this product but they will have to pick up the phone rather than their preferred poor communication tool…email only. Oh and there is this...they'd have to pay me....23 years as an engineer had to be valued.
