We love it but we need to see apartments that accept all NY PROGRAMS, even in good area’s not just in the hood.

Great App - Beware of “Free Rent”

I used this app to find my apartment, and I am very happy with the apartment. Ask the broker what the “gross rent” is because that’s what you really pay once a month. A lot of the listings show up within your budget and advertise free rent. What they don’t tell you is the free rent means you pay more per month, even though you pay the same by the end of the lease both ways. The app should really require gross and net rent to be disclosed for all listings. Otherwise 5 star app.

I have been trying to get in touch with a rep from StreetEasy for over a week, and their support line keeps closing my inquiries without sending any replies. I have had numerous problems with the site and no help from Street Easy or their partner company Zillow.

Modern monopoly

This company has a monopoly on the market and uses it to unfairly make a disproportionately large amount of money. Rampant bait and switch technology makes the entire process a massive headache for everyone involved. Who is going to step up and take them out of business with a better, more affordable, more efficient and more accurate public MLS tool? OLR is a great alternative to this trash.
App works well, but doesn’t save ANYTHING

I’ve consistently contacted listings through many brokers and once you mention you have a rental subsidy/voucher there is no reply to your inquiry. Furthermore when you attend a viewing and you later than disclose, the process doesn’t continue any further.
