StillShot can be found useful when objects are on the move and it is hard to catch the moment or when a video was already taken instead of a still photo.
With StillShot users can create a full resolution photo from video files by loading the video and analyzing the frames one by one, letting the user to choose the best frame. The app can extract frames from any video, with no special requirements. StillShot holds the original resolution of the video, e.g., on iPhone 4s the resolution is 1080p (1920*1080px).
StillShot is very easy to use and requires no technical knowledge.

StillShot was made by the same team that made GroupShot iPhone app.

The app will only allow me to grab photos from about the first 5 seconds of my video.
This app does NOT WORK worth a CRAP!! I wish I could get a refund on the $1 I spent on it. It’s THAT BAD. It analyzed ONE video. When I tried to do a second video it just shuts down and closes out completely. It won’t let me do a flipping thing. VERY AGGRAVATING!! Will NOT recommend this app to anyone!! EVER!!
Only opens a few recent movies...20 out of hundreds on my phone. No settings.
I can’t access all my videos!?? Tried to deleting and reinstalling but that didn’t help. I’m gonna delete and get something different.
StillShot will not display any videos from Photos, only pictures. So, because of that l can’t load any videos to capture pictures. For me, StillShot is wasting space on my phone. It worked well for me in the past but not anymore.
This app has made it easy to capture that perfect shot from my videos. Now I don't have to prepare myself for that perfect, action shot. Just take the video and chose the perfect still shot.
Way better than trying to do this manually by using the screen capture function. Works very well. It's super simple to use, not bloated unnecessarily with other so-so features... It gets my frames exported successfully, and then I can sharpen them or dress them up a bit in my favorite image editing app. Love it!
