Join a game today and supercharge your motivation with:

* Personalized goals tailored to your step history.
* A fun, supportive community of other players.
* The incredibly motivational power of money.

As the first step game with real money on the line, StepBet is the perfect app for anyone who needs some extra motivation to get moving. To win, you don’t have to take more steps than other players—just hit your goals every week, and you get to split the pot. That’s it!

HOW IT WORKS

First, download the app and select your source of steps: Fitbit, Apple Watch, or the Apple Health data on your iPhone 5s or 6. StepBet then syncs with your device to give you personalized step goals based on your activity history.

StepBet equalizes players’ level of effort through our proprietary algorithm, which takes into account your activity history to assign you two unique step goals:

Active Days: A challenging but manageable step goal. Take the stairs, go for a stroll after lunch, add a block to Fido’s walk. Be active.

Stretch Days: A push beyond your normal routine. Go for a run, a hike, or hit the gym. Stretch it.

Each week, you need to get a specified number of Active and Stretch Days. The other days are Free Days to use as you wish. Hit your Active and Stretch Days during every week of the game, and you win and split the pot!

Money in your pocket for taking more steps—yup! It’s really that simple.

Reviews

Great idea, horrible app.

You know, I love the concept of this. I love actual stepbets and I’ve started walking a lot more because of them but this app is trash. I wish they had a website for stepbet because I would never use this app again. It is constantly freezing so you have to force close it and whenever I open it after it hasn’t been force closed I get a blank white screen. The developers have been working on a huge makeover of the app and it’s like once they started doing that the just ignored the app functionality. I thought maybe once the new update came out it would work better but it’s even worse now. If I didn’t have money in bets I would delete this app and never look back.

Great motivation, but...

Stepbet is a great motivation to get moving. When I really get into a funk with my workout routine, the possibility of losing $40 gets me off the couch more than anything. However, I’ve had Stepbet for a little over a year and my step goals have gotten out of control. I live in NYC, so naturally I’m walking a lot without trying. I understand that the goals are calculated based on your step history, but it seems unfair that other people in the game will have a stretch goal of 9,000, while my stretch goal is 19,000, and we’re playing for the same reward. It takes me twice the amount of time to get those steps, and really hinders my opportunity to add strength training or more varied workouts into my routine. So while I think Stepbet is great, I’m going to have to stop using it until the system is changed. It would be great if there were set goals, such as everyone having to get 10k steps a day, or 15k steps a day like Spryfit. It would be more sustainable in the long term, because I know I’m not the only one struggling with their ever-increasing step goals. There are only so many hours in a day.

Love stepbet

Been a member for a year already and still enjoy it! The customer service is great and they really try to listen to players whether it’s about ideas for improving the app or creating new game styles! The Facebook group is great and there’s polls for new games and lots of support! I love having the extra motivation to move :)

App Won’t Complete Setup

The app will not complete the “creating goals” step.

I had the old version of this app and loved it. Now I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall it at least 3 times and still half the time (or more) it won’t load. Really upset. I used to love this app.

Unreasonable Steps
Uggggghhhggggggghggh

I downloaded the app and synced my Fitbit no problems. Then I get to my calculated goals and it sets it for me between 13-16k for my first ever goal. Now I’m a pretty active person and I regularly increase my Fitbit goal in small increments. I just didn’t expect to see numbers so high at first and I know that I won’t be able to accomplish it. Not gonna waste $40 on something that doesn’t fit into my life. I think StepBet should let you decide your own personal goals with some sort of minimum threshold.

Like the update but...

Since the update the app no longer shows pictures that users’ post. Please fix it. It’s a nice little community and we like to share our walking views with each other. Thanks.

I have completed 4 week of The challenge. I cannot Open app at this time to update. I have 15684 as of 8:31 on 6/10/18. I don’t want to have wasted my time and money and get kicked out of the challenge because of this new update.
