Gamepad driver update fails on Mac so this app will never work. It’s been this way for over a year. Shameful

This app works great. I only wish I didn’t need to have my pc on for it to work, but as the title says my bf thought the logo was a sad face! Lol

The app streams great. Anyone who is complaining most likely has zero PC experience and needs to learn how to Google solutions. I opened it, connected my PC to the phone and it immediately started streaming in beautiful quality. I’d even say it’s on par with Moonlight on a local network. Shut up, all idiots. Good job Valve.

The idea of this app is amazing, but the way it works could be better

Installing the app on an iPad works. I’m able to connect to the host Mac but when the Mac goes to install an update it fails every time. Please fix this issue. This app is totally useless for Mac users of recent OSs.

When I got this I expected it to be laggy and only support certain games that had the remote play tag. Boy was I wrong, you can run anything! Not only does it work while home away from the desktop, but I was able to play my ultra-modded skyrim during my break at work! It worked surprisiny well with no lag, but some big resolution dips over a bad internet connection in the break room. I use my Razer Kishi with this and strongly recommend it as the go-to controller for this!

I hoped to play my games with a controller from my phone, but Valve hasn’t fixed controllers on MacOS, meaning that your controller won’t work, the game pad update driver won’t install, and this app is hot garbage if you try to play a steam game while remotely accessing a Mac system. The M1 chip is great, unless Valve doesn’t care about it and neglects to fix issues. It’s been a year since the M1s release, you’d think they’d update it.
