Fantastic!

Completely changed the game, for the better

dm83737

This required a person to play each side before which was not as much fun in my household as we’re more of a cooperative game household. After playing with this app, however, it completely changed the game. My son LOVES playing this game with me now since we can play in the same side, and the narrative the app adds is pretty good! Definitely a must-try if you own the game and enjoy cooperative games.

A new IA

Jrwilks

This is a great way to get a group into IA. It's not quite the same as the paper campaign but it goes over the differences. It would be cool if the app automated the AI and tracked player movements but I understand why it does not. This is meant to be an accessory to the game and if automated everything in game, you would have no need to purchase the game components.

Excellent way to play IA solo

nickolmsted

I loved playing through IA solo using this app. This was even before they released all of the villain packs. New campaign story in which you can use all of the heroes with new stories to come. Great reason to get back into IA or finally pick it up (which I did because of this app).

We will be waiting

Typhoon007

If we didn’t wait long enough already for this app we will have to wait a little bit longer to get the content some of us were hoping for. As of now there is a single campaign. Most, if not all products (expansions and character packs) have been added to the game. What we don’t have are any of the campaigns that come from core game or expansions. Not sure if there is any plan to take those campaigns and make them playable with the app. Still worth checking out if you want that coop experience. A few rule changes to the base game such as disregarding some rules on the printed cards in favor of the app rule, etc. There is also no music and the sounds remind me a little of Star Wars but, likely because of licensing issues, they have few if any specific Star Wars sounds. So for now I’ll use my sound and music libraries or YouTube for my ambiance. Haven’t actually played a game yet, but the tutorial gave me a taste of what that experience will be like. I don’t know how many agree with me but I enjoy Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition App. I didn’t care for the app for Descent. I am exited to give this a try though as I love the Star Wars theme. Imperial Assault is the best dungeon crawler style board game out there. I’ll update my review after a playthru.
