Makes Solo Possible

I was hoping this would be as great as the game but it just lacks.

The App is good but could be great.

The app is good and could be great with some small improvements. I will start by listing the reasons the app is good. It does give you a chance to play with your friends or family not against them. The app can track most of your game so if you are like me and most of the people I know that play these games (Mansions of Madness or Descent) you do not play them from start to finish in one session. You can tell the app what each hero uses there XP for and you can buy cards with credits on the app. One thing that is keeping the game from being great is the app does not track everything for you between sessions. If you get a supply crate card in a session there is no were to tell the app which card you got. They also have you remove the supply crate card that gives you a 100 credit bonus because they did not have an option in the app to give yourself more credits, It almost seems like they don’t trust you to play the game honestly. The Imperial forces movement could be simplified. For example when you need to take an Imperial turn you get something. like this. The app is telling us to activate the storm troopers and we are given the following list: *> Move 3 to attack << the closest Rebel >> > Move 2 to reposition 4 > Move 6 to reposition 4 So, the app will tell you you must move thru the list from top to bottom and you can only perform one *> line and one > or two > lines. (In some cases you app with give you two or more lines with the *>.) If you can’t do the first you move down. In this case there are two options. Option 1: If we follow the list we would move each trooper up to three spaces toward the closest Rebel and fire. Then we need to move 2 spaces away from every rebel. The “reposition 4” means they want to get at least but no more then 4 spaces away from every rebel or at least as many as we can. Problem: In the game rules a Imperial Storm Troopers can take two actions. One can be an attack and the second can be a move. Per the card in the game troopers can move four spaces. In this case the troopers are moving 5 spaces. This is small but I see this a number of times in the game. One figure moved twice its’ movement and attacked. Option 2: If all of the rebels are so far away that you could not attack them after moving three spaces, you skip the first line. You then move two spaces towards the closest rebel but stay four spaces away. Then you would move up to eight spaces towards the closest rebel but again stay four spaces away. Problem: Complicated Here is how you could simplify this. Move up to 3 spaces towards the closest Rebel. If you are within 3 spaces attack and finish moving (up to 4 total spaces) by moving away from all rebels, tried to get 4 spaces away if possible. -or- Move up to 8 spaces towards the closest Rebel but stay 4 spaces away from all of them. Which is simpler? They also changed the rules on how some conditions effect imperial forces and personally I do not like how they changed the stunned condition. To be honest, this change was confusing and it did not need to be. It almost feels like they planned out how the imperial forces would take there actions and they thought they did a great job and then some one said “Wait what about when they are stunned?”. Then they just made something up that does not work at all. We should be able to tell the app that a Imperial Force has a condition liked stunned or focused which should change how the app gives you instructions. Using the above example if one of the troopers was stunned It could say: Discard the stunned condition, then: If they are within 3 spaces of a Rebel, attack the closest Rebel. -or- Move up to 4 spaces towards the closest Rebel but stay 4 spaces away. Finally, If the app has changed the way you play the base game the new rules or changes should be accessible within the app. I should not need to open a PDF on the web. Also, the changes need to be explained better. The changes to stunning Imperial forces was so confusing I could not figure it out and the forums seemed just as confused as I was.

Frustrating

TandBEnterprises

The application is inefficient compared to other Fantasy Flight game apps. With Mansions of Madness, for instance, they made it easy to keep track of enemies and their damage. This app doesn’t, and it still requires an imperial player to keep track of enemy units and their damage. So there’s no way to have full on cooperative play. Also, the game has features that contradicts all the original rules to the game, allowing for a lot of potential confusion. The graphics are okay, though.

This App seems abandoned already

Spacemutiny

I know they added a few new features but this app has been out for months, how about some new missions? There are zero announcements about this by Fantasy Flight. Instead every update from this is pushing new card and board game expansions. If you’re going to make solo players excited about a product at least give us a roadmap. If this was a physical product there’d be seventeen expansions out by now.

Wow

Out earlier than expected! Can't wait to play. This will be 5 stars unless I find it to be not up to par.

About time!

Been waiting on this forever!

Gorgeous and Challenging.

Just ran the first mission as a solo campaign and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are a lot of fun new tweaks that bring the game alive. For example, each Imperial deployment group has unique bonuses. So one Probe Droid might have an ability to shock the heroes while another detonated near them. I also enjoy the between mission encounters - story vignettes that sometimes require you to test a skill and might give a small reward. Haven't tried it with a group yet, but it's perfect for solo play!

I’m happy now?

Fantastic App Implementation

Langewisch

This app is very well thought out and works extremely well. As a die-hard Imperial Assault player, it is really cool to have the option to play co-op! The only thing I wish was that this coop mode could translate to the physical campaigns I already have.

wow
