A huge disappointment

I've never been a fan of comics but I have been a lifelong Trekker, so I thought I'd give the Star Trek comics app a shot. It was a good experience. I enjoyed each comic I bought. Then you changed the app. Why on earth would you do that? It had been working really well; it was intuitive and easy. Now, it's neither. Oh, and your new registration process makes no sense at all. Ugh.
Perfect comics app (edit: Not anymore!)

This was formerly a five star review. You guys have really made a mess of what used to be a perfect comics app. The old version got me back into reading comics for the first time since the Nineties. I've spent hundreds of dollars on comics in this, the DC and the Marvel apps. But now you've broken the experience and to make matters worse you post clearly fake reviews saying "love it! The new app is much better! Stop complaining!" Until you return to the original comixology version with in app purchases you won't get another dime from me. And I'm sure I'm not even remotely alone in that.

Absolutely love this interface. Beautiful layout. It's like going to a comic shop - just for Star Trek. Thanks Capt Kirk. Keep on truckin.

I love Star Trek and enjoy what IDW has done with the comic book line it now controls. But this app is brutally bad to navigate and just feels excessively cluttered. Wish the former version was still around!

So That’s My Opinion
The Star Trek movie series is good, but the cross overs with Planet of the Apes, Doctor Who and DC books like Green Lantern and Legion of Super Heroes are great! It’s taken some time to get used to the latest updates and didn’t like them at first. Bu warming up to it now and actually like the free motion comics too.

I really like being able to go frame by frame while reading. Then zooming out to see the layout of the page. I really don't like the new app controls.

What happened to this app??!! It used to be very polished and innovative. I loved how the navigation worked and made the action come alive. Now it's a POS!!! Stay as far away from this crap as you can.
Not what I thought

I thought when the website says "• If you have an IDW iOS app account, all your purchases will be available in the new apps. " and "2. Once you register with the correct email address, all of your previous comic purchases will show in the My Books list on the new IDW family of apps." That I would be able to sync my purchases on the site to this app. In fact, there's a "restore purchases" button. It doesn't work. When I asked support, they just redirected me to the FAQs. Useless.

UPDATED: I took one business day for IDW to respond. Apparently you need to close all apps, then relaunch the IDW Comic app. Restore within the app and previously purchased items will appear. If you have trouble contact their feedback email within the app and they will help you. Thanks IDW! ***Old 1 star review follows****** Scroll to the bottom of the display and it asks you to click on lowest banner if you are updating from an older app. It instructs you to create a NEW login to sign up to restore previous purchases. I did it. I "restored" afterwards within the app and got a pop up telling me previous purchases were restored! Hurray... except nothing shows up in que :-( I emailed their feedback folks and awaiting an answer! I will update rating and review when I hear back from their office.
