Would like to post from my phone

lckykfty

The app is good, but as a photographer I would like to be able to post photos from my phone to my portfolio through the app. Hopefully squarespace will fix this soon.

C'mon Squarespace, work on this app!

LJLKJLJLKJ

A very basic app for syncing gallery pages (and only gallery pages--not gallery blocks) from your Squarespace site. Creates a totally simple gallery that once synced can be viewed offline. I wish I'd known that only gallery pages work with the app before I built my site using gallery blocks within regular pages. Now I have to rebuild portfolios using gallery pages if I want to use the app. Not worth the trouble at this point.

I love my portfolio

rubywrap

Whether I'm using my iPhone or my iPad, The presentation of my art portfolio is extremely clean. There is no confusion with the viewer getting into my other photos. I won't use anything besides this to show my work. A+ for the squarespace portfolio!

Let down

I don't understand why squarespace has like 5 different apps. Just unite everything and make it one. Also, this particular app didn't allow me to do anything. Was hoping to edit and upload photos quickly with this app but I was only able to see work by another photographer.

The PERFECT app

Daniella_Art_Website

If you are an artist looking for a sleek way to pull up your portfolio on the go, this is the PERFECT app. It's simple, yes, but it does the job that some online gallery apps cost and arm and a leg to do. You can easy pull up photos of the work and email them off to someone that might be interested in showing or purchasing your work, etc. The poor reviews of the app definitely don't get the concept of a portfolio - it's not an app to be able to edit and upload, since it pulls directly from the website, and I wouldn't want all that on there when I'm trying to show my work off. Thanks Squarespace for making my artwork look so good and well organized!

Why?

Thaddeus71

This app is pretty much useless. Why did you guys even bother? It crashes, has very limited functionality. The app is more like an afterthought.. as if you asked an intern to write the code over a Mountain Dew binging weekend. I'm disappointed because I'm supposed to use this service to enter a photo contest. I don't think so. Lame.

Landscape

Making me sad iTunes

Please please please please please make this work in landscape.

Not good at ALL

Rob Sac

This app really shouldn't be called an app at all. If there is a zero star rating I would give it that. The functionality of this app is nowhere where it needs to be. It honestly should've never been rolled out. Love square space but the apps are subpar.

Useless app

Anammmbbbrrrrr

Useless... steel can't upload gallery blocks or edit image tags ...

Give this a try (or five)

BrianW69

I don't write app reviews. I may have written two since the App Store debuted. I felt compelled to write one for this. I had tried using Portfolio several times before. It didn't work. I couldn't figure it out. I'm a software engineer and I couldn't figure it out. I tried again recently and after hitting the sync button none of my images appeared. Delete. After becoming frustrated with my search for the perfect portfolio app for the iPhone, I came back to this. It just had to work. My photographs are already curated in galleries on my Squarespace site. It just had to work, and this time, thankfully, it did. If your photos don't synchronize at first, try again. You may even need to delete the app and reinstall it. This is the only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five. Also make sure they are in actual galleries on your Squarespace site. This IS the perfect portfolio app. Viewers cannot delete or rearrange my photos. The portfolio is organized by gallery, and I can choose which galleries I want to sync. Also the presentation is clean and delicate, just like a Squarespace site. I can even optionally view my captions. It's brilliant. I'm so glad I gave this a second, and third, and fourth, and fifth try. It hasn't been updated in a year, but it doesn't show at all. That's one indication of a truly magnificent design. Give it a try, or five.
