Worst app for team communication

This app is fine if you have one child on one team in one sport. I have four kids on different teams. All of the teams us this app. Push notifications are a joke. They generically say “a new message is received” but do not say who sent the message or what the message is about. Even more frustrating, teams can opt to send a “system message” that shows up in ALL of the teams’ message feeds. So if I go into one of my kid’s team message feeds i will see “practice canceled”... but that message is in ALL of my kids’s team message feeds... so who’s practice is canceled? You don’t know? Me either!!!! I hate this app but i have to use it because for some stupid reason athletic organizations use it. My recommendation is to stay away from this app if you can. Use Google calendar for your events and email for communication. This app is terrible!

I can’t tell you how it works since I can’t even log in. My log in isn’t recognized and when I get a new team code to sync to my kids team, it crashes. This is the third team app in three years we’ve used and none of them seem to be able to do anything reasonably well. I’ll be using emails and my phones calendar to keep track of games, practices, and messages.

I don’t have time to write all the things wrong with this app. As team manager, I (try to) use this app a lot. Attendance doesn’t work, you can mark attendance all day long but it won’t record. You can’t send texts to the team from the app but you can from the desktop. That makes no sense. I am usually in the grocery store when a practice is cancelled at the last minute and want to send a quick text to alert parents. Did the engineering team think about use cases for this functionality? When I setup a new event or practice and it notify a the parents, the notification only gives the start time. Not the END TIME.

Stacksports has raised millions from investors but what they’re doing with the money is a massive mystery. One thing is clear - they’re NOT investing in developing a quality, functional app. We’re begging our club to switch back to TeamSnap, an app every parent and player on our team loves.

Complete piece of crap app

This app is horrendous. Difficult to navigate, very diff features on mobile app vs browser/desktop, and horrible at keeping parent-child relationships consistent across various teams. Half the time I cannot navigate consistently... such a hassle. I hate this piece of crap.
Unable to edit a practice or game schedule

Overall, I like the app, however, I’m unable to edit any event, and email notifications aren’t sent out automatically. I receive an error that “schedule can not be changed at this time”. I have to delete the event and recreate it every time.
Messaging is unintuitive

When I send a message to anyone on the team I get an email notifications to my email. Hard to tell if it was sent properly, even when you look at the “sent” messages. What is the “green” switch for post as announcement mean? Maybe 1 star is a little low, but we used to use teamsnap and it is so much better and the divide between the two makes it seem like a one star app.

We are forced by our club to use this app. Too many problems to list. Everyone wanted TeamSnap. We use this for other clubs. I tried to reach out for help in the app. They force selection of what app you have issues with & TeamConnect is not listed. Worst app I’ve ever used.
