My students are really enjoying this app; however, it is difficult to understand the British accent so I typically have to repeat the direction. It would be great if on the US choice there was a different speaker. I have spoken to several other SLP's in my school system who are also finding the students are not understanding.

Please lose the British accent. It's distracting and confusing... Even to me! I work with preschoolers for speech therapy and I have to repeat everything the app says for clarification. Sometimes the kiddos have to wait while I process it...

Good but not great

Really like this app, but it needs a few updates so that I can LOVE it. 1. Needs to be able to save progress. Kids get frustrated when they have to start at the beginning each time and never get back home. 2. For the US version, really need a US accent and vocabulary. Kids have a very hard time understanding the accent and have no idea what a torch is. 3. Really would love to see the questions change or progress as you progress thru the planets. Would love to see more apps like this!

I like this app. it's well done. I would like to be able to change some of the British-English words/vocabulary and cheering alien. The kids like it, but some find it weird. Make those changes and I'll be a happy SLP.

This app is ok as it is right now. I like how there are different levels to work on for following directions. However, I agree with previous reviewers on several things. First, PLEASE add an American English speaker for the US option. It's difficult for the kids to understand the directions and expressions (What is "nient"?). Next, there isn't time in a 30 min therapy session to go to every planet and work on other goals so it would be nice to save progress under a kid's name. Also, I've unchecked Prepositions but it still continues to give directions with them. Overall, this could be a wonderful app with some minor improvements.

Now that the voice has changed to non-alien and an American accent my students can understand it. Great directions and good range from easy to more difficult. My only complaint is that the new American voice is not synchronized to the numbers for the countdown to "blast off".

I am an SLP in a school setting. I work mostly with autistic children. They love SPLINGO! I can customize it for different levels for each of my students. I appreciate the new updates to the voices. I would like to see this customized to have a student's progress saved and be able to pick up on the next level the next session. Also, some data keeping would be helpful to see what concepts or attributes need more work. Thanks for a great program! Would love to see more apps by this designer.

I am an SLP and my students love using this app to practice their ability to understand directions and the concepts in the directions. I love that they are very motivated to use it, that they have the option to have a direction repeated, and that the levels are customizable. I like the new voice, too. It would be nice if it took data. The score in the upper right seems to add the same amount of points whether the answer is right or wrong.

Really awesome. This app is a great multi- tiered language app. The lessons have a built in reward system (multi- tiered). It focuses on following directions/auditory comprehension. It is very engaging- use for kids with autism to developmental language/cognitive delays. I wish the developers would make more apps like this one- I'd buy them all!

I thought it was great before the upgrade, but really like it now with the standard American sound. The only problems are the voice no longer matches the number shown on the count down so we have a lag in therapy while we wait and I have noticed a pronounced lag in response when we touch Splingo to get the direction repeated. I also want to add my vote to keeping track of each child's progress and having an option to save the game or start over as well as keeping a chart of skills mastered (learned). I highly recommend this App anyway!
