So much potential, very applicable for many kids!

Hey Authors! Time for an update & some new material!!! I love this app and use it with many many students of all abilities. I sure hope you have plans to add new content and fix a few of the little 'bug' type issues. I would even buy an improved version!!! Please fix the countdown...the voice goes faster than the number graphic - they should be in sync. It would be great to have another spaceship the kids could build. I love this app & so do my students.

Update

This game is great and my daughter loves it but I wish I wouldn't let the child choose the object or complete the task until it was done speaking. My daughter will hurry up and just choose an object before she hears the question because she wants to get to the rocket ship part so she isn't really getting and value from the game. Please fix it to where you can't complete the task until it's done asking!

Needs fixing!

My students and I love this app! It is a big part of my teaching. Unfortunately, it keeps crashing with iOS 7. Is there a way this can be fixed?

Great receptive language app

I am an SLP as well as mother to a 9-year-old with autism and severe language delay. My daughter's SLP at school had been using this app with her, and she came home and asked me to put it on her own iPad. She loves the alien and rocket ship, and plays with Splingo frequently. I also downloaded the app on my iPad and use it with my preschool-aged students. I like the different levels, and the kids don't realize they are working. I would like the option to turn off the "uh oh," as I have a student who purposefully gets answers incorrect to hear that sound. Overall, well done and a good value.

Fantastic app, tiny but big problems.

I second SLP2592's review and would like to add that the "next too" isn't the greatest placement visually. It's so close to the "in front" option! That said, I adore this app. When my kids get something "wrong" but it's just because of their finger, I tell them the app is wrong and they were right. I hear "I want the alien," all day long. Some of my kids who don't even need to work on following directions anymore choose this app as a reward (and I trick many kids who need to work on following directions into thinking it's a reward ;) ).

Love it...but.

I love this app, but has anyone else had issues with the app turning off? I've downloaded all the updates.

Update basically ruined this fabulous app

Update is not an improvement with the exception of "placement" questions. My son loved this app but now won't even play it.

Disappointing Update

This app has so much potential, and is the one I use most for following directions. I just wish when I customized the directions it stuck to what I picked (that is, if I only checked "prepositions" don't give the child an adjective direction). It would also be amazing if we could check or uncheck specific items/words (such as "digger," which has confused more than a few of my students). Also, since the last update it has been super laggy and the American voice reverts to a British accent during the reinforcer which is frustrating

Like the app and the update

I've always thought this was a good app, but the update has improved it. For example it is a little clearer now what objects belong to which person for possessive-s directions. The British accent during the reinforcement is a very minor flaw for U.S. listeners, since it is not used during the stimuli portion it is not problematic in my opinion. I also like that you can turn off the "uh-uh" (no you're doing the wrong thing) responses. My autistic kids were upset by that correction. I agree with another reviewer who said it would be nice if you could choose some of the items you do or don't want presented so that you might focus on specific language targets. Although it is a little clearer now which objects belong to which character (possessive -s is the target) this still needs more clear delineation such as 2 boxes containing with each character and their objects.
