Sneaky way of getting you subscribe too easily

I liked the story behind how this product came about and how it simplifies converting written text into speech. What turned me off is during the on-boarding, they designed the flow to get the user easily tap into a monthly paid subscription thinking that they are continuing to a free trial. A real dark pattern that should be called out and made know to everyone who is not familiar with such bad practices. Apple suggested I write a feedback for others to be aware of.

I have a few suggestion. 1) Allow me to crop a picture in the app. 2)Allow me to set the amount number of seconds it pauses between paragraphs. 3) British Female Voice. Thank you from one dyslexic to another.

My password is invalid it keeps stating; and I don't want you to have my Facebook account. A load of crap and a colossal ware of my time

My friend with autism and dyslexia recommended speechify to me and it is helping me immensely with the most technical readings in my graduate program that I have a hard time getting through. So glad this is a resource for me and so many others.

The app doesn’t pick up words well. It tells you a time of completion but it is actually twice the time. I timed it on several occasions. Currently it’s not picking up any of the text I am trying to upload. It continues to say book has failed. When or if another app comes out, I am ending my membership to this one. Don’t buy, keep looking. There may be better technology out there.

The app crashes a lot! And I can't add almost any PDF

I haven't been able to add any PDF file I have to the app... So... I've only used it to listen to some news articles once or twice. Fix this thing and I'll change my review to 5 stars
