Pretty Good - Would Recommend

I really like the many different choice on this app. You can paste text, have an AI read it from an image in your camera, have something read from the web, or just write some things for it to read aloud. I only have one problem- I normally wouldn't trust any AI to identify something from an image so I also assumed this one was going to be off. I was correct. I know it is kind of hard to control a computer but I wish they could adjust a bit more to focus. First I wrote down text and took a picture of it. I dont have that good of handwriting so I knew it would be off, and it was very off. Then I took a screen of some writing off the notes on my Iphone. Even though it is very straight and neat writing it still messed up identifying the words. I would love it if you could find a way for the app to identify the text better because I dint want to read a long email. Thank you, Ellie.

Best app ever!!!

I first heard about this when I saw their cute founder Cliff on the Forbes 30 under 30 list. I’ve always had issues reading, this app has a loud me to read and learn so much

One of the best apps I’ve downloaded for my dyslexia!

I love the Speechify app! Especially when reading things on the databases I have access to via school as long as I am using my iPad. Because often times what I find on the databases is difficult to read with my dyslexia (even at a somewhat reasonable reading level) for one reason or the other and the Speechify app makes working on my college papers that much doable.

I’ve tried all the android apps that do this and all of the iPhone apps. This is the best of the iPhone apps. It falls short of the best Android app for several features but I’m currently talking to the developer and he’s excited to implement these new features. I’m very happy that he’s responsive and actively working on this and eager to improve it! At this rate I’m confident he’ll implement these features and surpass the android app and be better like most other iPhone apps are better than their android counterparts.... The just of the main tweaks needed are: be able to more finely adjust the rate (increments up-and-down are too large of a change and the adjuster is way too sensitive and over or under adjusts easily), be able to finally adjust the pitch of the voice (lower or higher). It would also be nice if these voice, rate, and pitch settings could be remembered on a per book basis as different books suit different settings. Obviously even better quality sounding voices is a plus and definite objective but the small settings described above will help with the already existing voices. I found the Google Voice’s available on Android to be very good and the best I’ve tried so far... the British male voice here is pretty good I just wish it had a slight less amount of variation in tone and expression with certain words because sometimes it sounds overly expressive and clown sounding. Overall it would be neat if you could apply more of the available voices on your iPhone and they added more voices overall.

AMAZING if you're a medical/allied health student!!!

So I find that whenever I read I fall right asleep. Since being in a physical therapy program, you have to read a TON. This app is a lifesaver because you take photos of your pages, and it converts it right into an audiobook for you! The one thing I suggest is with each page, take a photo of either the paragraph or a column at a time. This will prevent the text from being processed out of order. Otherwise, it's a great free app and it does the job! Great too if you commute a lot and you still want to study. Plug it into your car's aux port and it will read it to you as you drive.

Crash

I was really stoked about this app and was even interested in a subscription. However, the app keeps crashing and won’t stay open. Why would I want to pay for a subscription when the non-subscription based app won’t function right.

Lame

I downloaded this app to help with school work. I’ve tried taking pictures of an entire page, I’ve tried taking pictures of a small section, I’ve tried taking pictures and cropping to one little section at a time. This app still misses or makes up words and the pictures are clear as day! Honestly the time that I spent trying to upload this would have been better spent reading the book myself. Boo!

I love this app, so glad I came across it. I love reading books but struggle with my eyes. This is awesome. Thank you for making it.

Awesome app!

It's great for listening to text articles. It helps combat my motion sickness of trying to read in moving vehicles. Now I can just listen.
