Harder for me to use w/o split screen

Handydude

Why would you remove one of the main features that made this calculator so useful. The split screen was one of the best features of this app and poof, it's gone. I sent an email to ask for explanation but got none. Too bad, I was enjoying the app.

Time to make this app a better experience

As far as doing what it is intended to do, Soulver is a steady 5 stars. As far as what it means to me, I can't live without it. A two column spreadsheet is very useful, and I find other spreadsheets very, very poor tools for building a very basic object, namely an array of info, I.e. a table. A spreadsheet is basically a db hack, after all. Here's what bugs me -- the ui has not changed since the app appeared on the iPad. The keyboard is limited- why not a way to select alpha as a default? Why not better optional keys? Moving the "cursor" (touch target) via buttons would be nice. Cut and paste is primitive, awkward and unreliable in this app in particular. This probably doesn't bother the many users who like using it as a calculator, but the app is so much more than that! Understand, there is no app like Soulver -- I've looked! Still, it could use a few features -- I've not found a way to use Workflow with it, for instance. It would great to build a row in, say, "Drafts" or similar apps and send it to Soulver to update a table. It would be great to export Soulver to a text file that preserved the table format. Split screen functionality would be nice. Another nice feature would be a way to "export" the data to a more formal spreadsheet. I could see combining five solver tables into input for a 5 or ten row spreadsheet. People drone on about productivity tools -- well Soulver is a great one. In a way it's like Text Expander -- hard to explain how good it is, and what it does seems mundane. The trouble for the developer is they can only sell it once. Hopefully changes in the App Store will help the folks at Soulver get paid to make a great app even easier. Hey what about a way to add another pair of columns? Just sayin' ........:) :) Steve O

One of my favorite apps! Once you have it, you'll wonder how you got along without it!
