Latest update broke it for us on all IPads..iPhones and PCs work fine but IPads no longer can reach server.
Ongoing issue with VPN over IPv6

If you use the app with T-Mobile as your cell data provider (because they adopted IPv6) , once VPN is established you can’t RDP connect to any local host using IPv4 IP address, ONLY using hostname. And for that to work you need to add rules for NETBIOS traffic from sslvpn to lan. I have reported this issue to SonicWall 2 YEARS (!!!) ago, was told they are aware and promised it will be fixed within next release yet it still doesn’t work. We’ve been loyal SonicWall customer for many years, deployed their appliances to many clients, but sometime it makes me wondering why Dell got rid of SonicWall brand so quickly after acquiring it few years back...

I’ve been using this app on my old ipad and Iphone 7 and it works great. Recently updated to IPad Pro. It would connect via WiFi, but not over cellular data. After double, triple checking the settings, and beating my head against the wall, the answer is on sonic wall’s website, but it is not really highlighted as it should be. Short version- on cellular many carriers use IPv6. If your network is IPv4 SonicWall doesn’t like it and won’t work. FIX- if your server ip is x.x.x.x:4433. Replace with x.x.x.x.xip.io:4433. Eg. 75.75.75.75:4433 would be 75.75.75.75.xip.io:4433 Xip.io is a forwarding domain. There is no warning or option in sonicwall app to work around this, or let you know that may be the issue, merely failure to connect.

Cannot email debug logs when using a non-native email app. This needs to be fixed.
2nd factor Auth does not work

My work requires 2nd factor auth to login to VPN. Connect to SonicWall, onetime use password is sent. However, in SonicWall app on iPad no keyboard input is recognized when prompting for the one time use password. Makes logging into my VPN impossible.
Can’t enter 2nd factor

Window pops up to enter 2nd factor, but no cursor so you can’t enter anything and thus vpn is completely broken (on iPad, seems OK on iPhone)

Works good when it connects to our firewall. Once I disconnect and try to connect later, it will just say “connecting” on the status line. Rebooting my iPad may work or it may not. Sent the logs to support, got an e-mail back saying I sent them an email without a case number and they need me to reply to a previous email with the case number. iPad 7th gen, iOS 13.5.1, app version 5.0.7. The Android version of this app works great.

Most of the time this app works well but twice in the last month it won’t stay open.I have had to remove the app from my phone and re-download it in order to get it back in business. Very frustrating. These technology companies ought to be better at…Technology.
