REQUIREMENTS:
SonicWall Mobile Connect is a free app, but requires a concurrent user license on one of the following SonicWall solutions in order to function properly:
• SonicWall Next-Generation Firewall appliances including the TZ, NSA, and SuperMassive running SonicOS 5.8.1.0 or higher.
• Secure Mobile Access (SMA) 100 Series appliances, formerly called SonicWALL Secure Remote Access (SRA), running 7.5 or higher.
• Secure Mobile Access (SMA) 1000 Series appliances, formerly called E-Class Secure Remote Access (SRA), running 10.7 or higher.

Both are configured identically, but the iPhone never establishes a connection. Tired removing, reseting network settings and restarting the phone, but the problem remains. And it works perfectly on my iPad.
Failed to connect, opened ticket with Sonicwall, they said to upgrade SRA, did so, same error. Apparently not willing to troubleshoot actual issue, leaning on “oh you are three updates behind, upgrade and call back” is the current tactic. Sorry but quite upset. Been trying to roll this to production for awhile now.
After installing iOS 12, iOS indicated that the app needed to be updated by the developer and that it is not approved to create a VPN. Deleting and reinstalling it fixed the issue. It’s odd that the app did not automatically get set to be updated like the other 32 apps that did when I installed iOS12. ?♂️
VPN won’t stay active when on a cellular network. Works fine when connected to wifi.
Works on iPhone on cellular network but not on WIFI. Also, says passwod instead of password. It’s been months. Is a fix on the way?
I was having trouble connecting to my SSL VPN over T-Mobile’s LTE network which is IPv6 only. I had to locate a SonicWALL knowledge base article (194844) which holds a workaround to the issue. The KB claims that version 5.0.2 and newer of the app should contain a fix to not need the issue however it still appears to be present in version 5.0.4 of the app. To connect to a SonicWALL via IPv4, set up a DNS A record for your public domain name and public IPv4 address. Alternatively, SonicWALL recommends using the xip.io service in the KB article by pointing Mobile Connect to a server name of “<IP address>.xip.io”. I hope this helps others having issues connecting.
We are an MSP and support many customers using this client to access their corporate networks. App works great with no issues.
Change domain doesn’t work after upgrade to IOS 12.2
This app just plain doesn't work. When trying to log in it just gives an error. You can't authenticate.
After an update either to the all or iOS, I'm having to constantly reconnect to the VPN. The iOS app shows connected but the firewall doesn't show an active session. Every 10-30 minutes I'm having to reconnect to access intranet endpoints.
