If only there was an IPad App

Mostly bisiness

Oh man. I was looking forward to using this app. But it was made unusable the moment I couldn’t use my IPad Pro on its keyboard stand because the software makes me rotate the IPad and that is something I am just not going to do. Pretty graphics, smart ideas for time and task management, and I really wanted to take a look at that kid’s digital wallet. Maybe someday.

Best chore app but....

This is the best chore app you will find but it does have a lot of issues. Despite the issues it is worth paying for it. Some issues are that it’s very buggy. It crashes if you type too much. If you make any kind of changes to anything or even just with rejecting or approving a chore most of the time you have to close out of the app and reopen it for it to fully update. It will also repopulate chores as needing approval even though you have already approved them and pretty regularly it populates chores needing approval from days ago that were already approved as well. Also the calendar is pretty useless. The alerts do not ever alert in days or hours. When I get an alert about an event coming up it sends it too me in code as well minutes only. Ex) Test/a is in 1040minutes I’ve realized that the / happens if you use an ‘s. Best to just use a different calendar. We use Cozi Family Organizer which is the best calendar out there for families. Other issues include the chore intervals. It won’t let you use the rotate option for chores that you want to only be due once a month and on any day during that month. If you set this it will make it due 31 times per 1 month which is everyday and depending on how many kids you have it will be that many times in 1 day. We have 3 kids so it shows up as being due 3 times a day everyday. There is also not an interval that allows for chores to be due once a month, during a specific week, but on any day of that week. Which for younger kids who are still learning time management is pretty necessary especially when school, homework, and sports/activities are going on. Anyway still worth the money tho.

Nothing but errors.

Registering didn’t work. Got an email saying I had subscribed to the premium plan and the another one saying I unsubscribed (I never subscribed). Got errors trying to invite my partner and he ended up getting multiple invites. Button to creat a chore didn’t work. Also, creating chores was super unintuitive, there are too many options for something as simple as “put clothes in washing machine” which is really all I needed.

Great but has some flaws

SouthernChrm86

I downloaded this app for my iPhone and my kids iPads to help schedule chores and make it more fun and organizable. It’s overwhelming at first because there is SO MUCH to this app. More than any app I’ve ever used. But I love how customizable it is. Not to mention it’s FREE! I’ve noticed on the kids iPads it’s not full screen. It’s like a cell phone mobile size on their screen. I wish it was full screen. The flaws that I’m having is logging in and out. So I didn’t want to use emails for the login for the kids and they have a family QR code you can scan to allow them on the app. The app on the iPads will not scan. So I had to use their emails to make a login. Every time the kids close the app (not log out) it logs them out completely without saving their login information. So every time I’m having to enter in 3 emails and 3 passwords on each device and it’s very frustrating. Other than that it seems pretty nice. We’ve been using it for 2 days now and we are liking it for the most part. I haven’t even full explored the app but from the chore chart alone it’s been great.

This is perfect for your ADHD teen and to keep family organized

BambiAmy

I have a child that needs constant prompts for everything. It’s just the way it is. He’s glued to his phone and so having this app create reminders for him for every little thing is God send. Incentive is huge for adhd kids so being able to reward and also give appreciation badges and turn the s’mores into money is huge. Thank you for so much detailed work in this app. Keep it coming! Maybe add material that you can access for a teenager to help prepare and transition to college and adult life. (So the app doesn’t look so babyish.)

Error

gdrtkcfjs

This seems like a good app, but it wouldn’t let me get past the sign up pages. Kept giving me an error message where I put in my kid’s info, no matter what I put, so I can’t try the app out at all.

My Search is Over!

Very thorough, a lot of options

SaltyOwl77

We’ve been using this app for several years, and have seen how it’s grown to accommodate many family dynamics. We have three neuro-atypical kiddos (12, 15, and 17) with vast differences in learning styles, strengths, and challenges. This app is thorough, dynamic, and, most of all, customizable to each family and family member’s needs. It’s a lot to learn BUT don’t fret- the steps to to learn it all are provided in bite sized portions, allowing any family to dip their toes in and implement at their own pace. And, like all good things, it seems to grow and change as its community’s needs do.

Overlapping icons

Sata 457

I really like this app on my iphone. On my sons Samsung galaxy phones the icons for some reason are overlapping and they are unable to read the whole chore. I have updated the app. Turned the phones off and restarted the app multiple times. Has anyone else experienced this? I want to rate higher but right now I cannot due to two different phones having the same problem. I was looking into the subscription to support but cannot see all the icons or chores. Please help. Thanks
