Great teaching program

I use this this software to teach 6 to 8th graders intro to programming. It has rich set of commands. I wish the text from the input statement was easier to read. Light blue text on white are hard ro see for these aging eyes It has commands that allow you to get to the IOS hardware like the camera, compass, and GPS. The manual is a little brief but the examples help a lot. There is a forum but many entries are in Russian . Many examples help a lot . The best way to find things is the search. I joined the form, and can use it but still not allowed to post. Don't know what the criteria required to do that is. A very powerful programming language.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of this interpreter. It is accurate, very complete, and amazingly fast. The only limits to what you can do with it are your imagination and skill.

Very great app for creating app using BASIC Hopefully a future update will have the ability to change editor color scheme, font and maybe auto tabbing (if possible) but others great

Fantastic programming world for kids

i am so impressed with this programming environment. Was trying to teach my kids the concept of logo as a kid, found this app, and was blown away at how easy it is to draw shapes and move around the canvas. But then the app gives you hundreds of other resources to tap into phone features and make powerful - useable programs. And it is so easy to start and immerse in. BTW, thank you for the the extensive examples and excellent documentation.

This basic is very powerful. It has many bells and whistles. I have been able to write many applications (mostly games) because I am wheel chair bound and this is my main activity till I am on my feet. Like an earlier comment it does lack good documentation, the help file is ok but lacks detail. The examples are ok but still many many trials and errors. A better editor would be a big help. One more item to note, the speed on my iPad is sometimes way to fast and the program's get lost in themselves. Must use pause to make it work right. I am a retired professional programmer and have enjoyed the challenge but the documentation has challenged me a little to much at times,but for the price it is not bad.
