I loved this app so much decided to go ahead and pay each month. Now that ive had it a few months, im about on my last nerve with, stopping randomly, giving me error messages. Takes 5-10 mins get it back up and going. Pretty bummed out about this cuz i do really love the concept of this app. Please fix!!

Crashes often and does not stream well from smart phone to television. Once basketball season is over I’m gone. Only good thing about it is there are no contracts.

So first of all I just don’t write reviews. But I just had to do it because the app deserves it. It’s really good. Second I was skeptical about the services they provide. I didn’t know much. But once I found out more and signed up for it, it’s what they advertise. It is tv a la carte. I signed up for the Spanish channels and I even get an Argentinian channel I can’t get anywhere else. When it comes the app, it is flawless. It simply never crashes. Regardless of what channel I watch it always comes up without any problems. Once you choose the channel, you have to option to watch the program that’s on form the start, to start it over, or to watch it live. Once you stop watching, you can always come back to the same spot. It saves your programs so you can come back later and pick right up where you left off. You can do that with countless shows. You can also watch from a different source. If I’m watching on my phone, and stop watching, I can watch from the iPad or the Apple TV app and watch it also without any problems. Tv quality is fantastic too. You also don’t have to sing on every single time. I haven’t to sing in or log in since I first logged in months ago. This service along with the apps in the different platforms are simply seamless. It’s really one of the best, if not the best I have on all platforms. It’s literally fantastic. 10/10.

Update 12/11/17 Dear Sling, your iPad platform still doesn’t allow playback of NBC shows like DATELINE, LATE NIGHT W SETH MEYERS and WILL & GRACE. It is not an issue with my local NBC station or whatever it excuse you gave last time I complained because it works fine on Kindle and Samsung. If Sling has an issue with Apple developers or NBC, you should admit it. You’ll lose more customers by lying to them. 9/2017 I had high hopes for this idea and app given the reviews when compared to other streaming TV service. The Roku version works OK but the iPad and iPhone apps are the WORST! It doesn't play back many recorded shows aired in NBC, Comedy Chnl & CNN. The wheel-of-wait just spins and spins. I have contacted support 7 times in as many days (feeling like a new platform deserves direct feedback to help improve), but all their suggestions change nada. Unplug, reset, reinstall, re-record, rinse, repeat. Nothing changes. They have "elevated" my issue several times but I do not hear back as to the status and I asked them to email me. Also, the show descriptions are often and shows with episodes don't show the air date so you don't know if it's one you've seen already. I have to cross-check with Comcast! That's ridiculous. I really wanted/want this idea to work. Comcast (in my area) has had a monopoly on television WAY too long, but if Sling isn't going to listen to (see other reviews) or respond to its subscribers or to actually USE the feedback to improve, it's a waste of money.

I agree with a lot of the other reviews. I like sling tv, I like the shows on it. But not really "a la carte" if the packages still have channels on it that I never ever watch, let me pick an choose which channels to add into package (within reason). This thing does crash and buffer a lot!! On my home tv it's constantly stopping and buffering and you can't restart where you left off. My Netflix or amazon never have any problems playing and stays streaming. If they get the crashing under control I would seriously think about dumping Netflix. Edit.....I had to end up canceling my subscription due to the constant buffering and unavailability. I bought the stars subscription and when you go to watch an “on demand” movie it would continuously say not available try again later. So I would try to watch the same movie at a later time or a different day and still nothing. My Netflix and amazon continue to work flawlessly, no need for me to pay 32 a month for something that hardly ever works (btw, I have a roku on my tv). Now I wait to make sure they have actually cancel my subscription and won’t charge me and additional fees. Step it up sling and maybe I’ll come back.

This looks so great, $20.00 per month,but it doesn’t work in Puerto Rico, please make it allowed because I’m seek of paying cable tv and iptv.

Just got a 7 day trial I watched the Patriots game and look around and found 1 episode Out of all available and done nothing worth watching but the game and 1 episode! $20 a month no thank you YouTube is free and I find more on there then ever on here! Plus I have Netflix Hulu! So disappointed differently not work $20+ a month! Where is cbs nbc abc and fox??? How do I cancel not worth 7 days free! Oh and my review is newest and I can’t even find it! Hide reviews that are not good or 5 stars! So disappointed! Also they charge you a holding fee of $1.00 until 7 days are up but they don’t tell you! So it’s A $1.00 7 DAY TRIAL!!!!! Don’t CUT THE CORD for this service!!!!!

This app crashes all the time. It doesn’t matter how good my internet connection is or how close my iPad is to the router.
