Tracking Insights Need Work

I like the controls for the device's functions, but the way it presents information back to you is poor. Given that is the selling point of this model, really needs improvement. Even if it just meant improving the viz already there--like not presenting temperature as a 50 to 120 degree y-axis, not trying to fit 24 hours on the x-axis (focus on the range around the sleep period), etc. I'd recommend hiring a data viz UX designer.

App won’t connect

drewsomefoo

As other reviewers mention, the app won’t connect to the device. No idea how this app has nearly 5 stars given the basic functionality doesn’t work.

App is working again

oneillor

The app wasn’t holding a connection to the alarm for more than a few seconds. But then it started working again. As far as I can tell, no problems now.

When it works, it’s great .

I love the Philips wake-up alarm and light. But the app consistently has difficulty connecting to the unit. Almost every time, I have to force close the app, turn off wi-fi on bit phone and alarm clock, then hope for the best. I work for an application developer and none of these issues make sense to me. Would I buy the alarm clock again? Maybe, if the price were lower and I didn’t try to use the app.

*update- not great* Just stopped connecting to phone/ Alarms disabled

We have a dog

**updated 2/3/20 Philips responded with advice to try everything already listed in my efforts to fix this problem. I‘m guessing I was given a pre-written generic response that they are giving to everybody.. because they are suggesting everything I’ve already tried. I have to wonder if there is a fix for this on their side? It is clearly not operator-error when there are SO many of the same issue everywhere. No guys, my WiFi is not weakly connected to my phone. Solid connection here...** I have the iPhone 11 pro and the Device just stopped connecting to my phone one day. I bought this device to help me wake up for school and it stopped working the night before my FIRST DAY!!!! The sleepmapper device working fine for several months and just stopped, causing my alarm to not go off and so woke up late for class on my FIRST FREAKING DAY! Now I can’t get the sunrise/alarm function to work and I’m back to relying on my phone which unintentionally wakes up my husband. My husband and I have tried everything to fix this MASSIVE issue: -Deleting & reloading app -Hard Reset -Reset WIFI -Unplugging/plugging device back in -Troubleshooting in app/on Website -Change WiFi from 4GE to 5 and back -Looked for pending updates on iOS or Philips????? (none) -WiFi/phone connection works just fine. And then we did this again 3 more times. C’mon Philips, fix your stuff. I paid $200 for this. *will change rating and post if issue is ever resolved.*

Terrible

MontB8

Followed all troubleshooting steps and it still won’t connect with my iPhone. If it goes it only works for that night and I have follow the same steps all over again. I even bought a router for the 2.4 mghz. For a product this expensive, this is highly unacceptable. Providing the same template response to everyone with app connectivity issues is even worse. If The issue isn’t fixed I’m calling my bank to dispute the charge saying it’s a defective product. To have to follow all of these trouble shootings steps just to connect and set the alarm. That update should have been released YESTERDAY.

Doesn’t work

kufever

I love this alarm but this app doesn’t connect. Please fix. This alarm is truly not worth the money without the phone connection. I need different alarms for different days and cannot get this programmed. Beyond frustrated. I’ve reset the device three times. Reinstalled the app. Nada.

Should allow at least two users

Um06bc$$

Awesome functionality but it should allow an app for an alarm clock to support at least two users. Many couples share a single click!

Edit — Does not connect

JohnnyB125684

App cannot find light when both are connected to 2.4 ghz WiFi with the 5 ghz disabled. iOS 13.3.1 - iPhone with 3 camera lenses on back — After 3.5 update all connectivity issues are fixes. Great job dev team! Can’t wait to see more features!!

Great light, bad app

MaryEPP

I do love this light and the options and settings that it offers but had I known the app wouldn’t work with it 90% of the time I would NEVER had paid more for the feature. In the beginning it did work and I loved it, after three weeks.... it completely stopped connecting with the app. I have tried the reset options and still nothing. I am beyond frustrated that I’m unable to actually use it as I had planned but I am happy with the actual light and its options and features. So I highly recommend the light, but if you’re on the fence about paying extra to have the app feature you should pass. I wish I had now that I know.
