Of the several events listed for each day, only the first has buttons for viewing on the map and adding to the calendar. That misfeature of the free version is unacceptable in a paid version.
This is a simple app, and some of the events are a little basic, but it's a great way to get into the hobby for little cost. The "plus" app has really useful calendar reminders and push notifications - something I really appreciate with having a demanding job that means I often forget some cool events - it's like having a personal assistant keeping an eye out for me for key astronomical events! It has a simple interface, I'd like to see more links to some of the more common planetarium apps available and I wish it had 'landscape' mode, but for $3 you can't really ask for much more.
I wish I would have read the App description more closely. It only let's me read notes on upcoming events which I can get for free on the Web. I thought I would see sky maps for my location. The App should be free.
How hard can it be to update an all-text app to support the iPhone 5's taller screen? Apparently to hard for these guys. Stick with Safari and the web for sky updates and save your $3.
This application on my I-Pad is incredible ..... A great compliment to my other App. Night Sky . The design with ease of using to see what is happening in the sky is clear and concise . A very great App. I'm fascinated . I will recommend this to all friends , if you like Sky and Telescope , this fits right in ... My Favorite !
Had free version that worked great. Bought paid version, bad mistake. Same material but when you request 'calendar' or 'view' it gives a message "unable to obtain settings for charts". I suggest that this app be removed.
