Gameplay feels cheated...

The game plays well and is extremely fun to play! However, the fact that almost any game in story mode which has you at a “disadvantage” will basically be an auto fail regardless of player skill. Whenever my team gets the last enemy to about 20-30% health, there seems to be a kind of AI switch and the opponent immediately wipes my whole team. The main reason I’m writing this is because the ability to juggle an opponent before they have even landed in the match is pretty frustrating especially when you spent the last 20 minutes on the same fight getting to the exact same spot. The game is very fun and enjoyable, and I have had a great time so far (other than those very...very frustrating issues) GG ~ Thanks

I absolutely love this game! While I do actually play the real console version, this version is a nice retreat when I feel like breaking the controller and dying. The art is amazing, high quality, and honestly better than the games that inspired it. The only thing I would add to this game is local play, so you can connect to someone in the same room. Other than that, it’s great!

A faithful mobile version of the original

The_Davodbot

For everyone who’s seeing this review: This is one truly beautiful game. Both on the gameplay aspect and the graphics. Let me break it down: As you may have seen, this is a fighting game. As always, it includes its combos, characters, stages and what not. However, Skullgirls sets itself apart from others because of its basic components mentioned before. As in, the stages are varied and different, the characters are fun in each one’s unique way, and the music, my GOD, the music. It can range from a slow Waltz to a frantic ramble of saxophones and trumpets, among others. The graphics are also astounding, each character and stage drawn by hand and animated individually. Heck, even the idle animations are well done. On the gameplay, I will admit, though, that I’ve never played the PC version, but from what I can assume, it’s the same as the PC version. One big difference here is that the combos are performed by tapping a designated spot, making the execution of combos WAY easier (from what I’ve seen). The main story is fairly simple to understand, introducing each character individually but not too long to make it as long. Each character’s main story segments still remain, which is fine by me. All in all, this game is worth playing. Only problem: it occupies a little too much space, but for a game of this magnitude, it’s kind of expected. Good job, Lab Zero!

No f*cking ads (for once)

PhilTheComputer

Dear readers, This game has no ads that you so forsake. Ever scroll endlessly on instagram and then see game that’s like “huh this just clicks” and then download it just to be bombarded with ads? This game has none of that! Challenging gameplay! Literally impossible to run out of lives! Fun characters. The characters consist of: Flamboyant bird, Orchestra, Ninja nurse, Pinwheel, Were-wolf, The pharaoh’s wife, Girl with sentient hair, A sentient umbrella, Girl with a swole hat, What the f*ck even is that?, And squiggly line. Also, for Christmas I want offline practice mode with customizable bots. Y a y !

Playing is satisfying

Ok, first and foremost, frankly speaking, this is the best fighting game I've played on mobile and I've played a lot of mobile games. Really like the music. I know some players like to play with no sound, but for me, the music was the primary motivation that kept me playing when I first started, and I still like it quite a bit. Really like the fighting style and the input method. I know many games give players buttons to hold or tap. This is really inconvenient for players with a smaller phone (I don't have a small phone anymore), but SGM uses a different method for input which is great and really easy for newbies to begin. Really looking forward to the new updates. I went back to check the 2018 preview on the forum today, and found out, surprisingly, almost half of them have achieved. Really really great work on adding new content and improvements. I'm looking forward to all the stories and fighters that are about to be added to the game. Meanwhile, the social feature can let more people know how high I'm placed in the community, so that's great news for me, too. Really like how devs are available to all players and their efforts to keep the community active and diverse. <3 to all members of HVS. Great job! Suggestions! One thing I do like to mention and maybe ask for is adding new gaming mode. As an end game player, yes the diamond tier is cool for sure, but what would truly get my attention would be a new way to play this great mobile fighting game (of the century). No, not PvP. Just something that'd be different, since I'm getting tired of farming all these prize fight over and over again. It's be really cool if I can get a reply from HVS~~ Regards!

I would love to play it....

Laserlock777

I’ve heard many great things about this game, but I can’t play it! I’ve tried everything I’ve seen suggested, but when I open the app and sign in, it begins to load, then just crashes! I would definitely up it to 4-5 stars if I could at least play the game
